R is for Reindeer

I was able to play for a little while this morning and I made this:

I used both sides of the same piece of Doodlebug Design paper from Home for the Holidays Collection! I used Ladybug Swiss Dot Washi Tape also from Doodlebug!! I die cut a circle of watercolor paper and stamped the reindeer from the Santa’s Gifts Stampin’ Up! set on it using a Versafine Black inkpad and then embossed it with clear embossing powder!!

I colored the reindeer ink by smooshing my ink pads so that ink got on the lid and then I picked up the ink with a wet paintbrush!! Becoming my favorite way to watercolor!!

Enjoy Today – A card for the First Day of School

Yes, I played for a little while in my craft room today – it was quite dreary here – liked it, but that is because I like the rain. But it was definitely a stay home and be in your PJ’s all day kind of day for me!!

I was playing around with some challenges and came up with this card for my granddaughter on her First Day of school –

I will have her parents give it to her on the morning of that much longed for First Day!!

I created this card with washi tape from Doodlebug Design – all 4 of them are part of the Back to School Collection! They are called Apple a day, Tape Measure, School Stripe, and  Colored Pencils!! Aren’t they all adorable??!!!!!!!

For the stamping on this card I used A Penny Black set called Sweet Wishes – it is primarily a Birthday set but I used the 2 sizes of stars and the Enjoy Today sentiment for this card!!

I colored the stars in with a Prismacolor yellow marker and then I added some bling – gems,  by my stars!!

I want to link up to the following challenges:

I am so excited about this 12 day series that I am doing here on my blog – I LOVE DOODLEBUG and I have been a user and collector for the past 15 years!! Anything made by them delights and excites me – I love their bright, happy colors and incredibly cute icons and borders they make!! I thought doing this series would be a perfect way for me to lead up to and celebrate my birthday with you – There will be prizes – more on that at the end!!

Today I am showing a card that I made –

I made this card using the Fruit Stand Collection by Doodlebug & I made it on a Create-A-Card by them!!

I used Washi Tape and a Doodlepops sticker to jazz it up!! As you can see below the card I put stripes of the washi tape on the envelope – when I am ready to give this card away I will put the recipient’s name on  over the washi tape with alphabet stickers!!
