Happy Birthday to Shery of STAMPlorations!!

While I was playing for a little bit in my craft room I made this card to celebrate Shery Russ’s birthday!!

She is the owner of STAMPlorations and she is so fabulous!!!

~ Bright Shapes Happy Birthday Card ~

I started this card with a Green Galore top folding A2 card, I cut a white panel using Blueprints # 1 from My Favorite ThingsI stamped shapes from the STAMPlorations set called Retro Mod ShapesI used the following Stampin’ Up! ink colors – Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Cool Caribbean, Only Orange, and Daffodil Delight. The happy and birthday was stamped using a set from STAMPlorations called Happy. I embossed the happy in white on the banner that was cut from a Stampin’ Up! banner dieI punched holes on wither side of the banner and tied some yellow twine through and made a bow.

Cherries & a Fairy

After resting all morning, I was able to play in my craft room for 4 or 5 hours after lunch!

I made SEVEN cards!!! Yeah, me!!!

I will be showing you two of the cards in this blog post today!

~ Hi, Sweetie Cherries card ~

I made this card using an actual page from a little notebook I have. I stamped with a way old (circa 1995) Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Cherries, Checks, and Posies. And my greeting came from a Sunny Studios stamp set called Fresh & Fruity. I used scraps from my box and a little bit of linen thread also from SU! A few splatters were used and to color the stamp I used Real Red, Garden Green and Creamy Caramel markers.

Retro SketchesSketch # 220

This was my inspiration for how I designed my card – substituting the cherries in place of the apple!

Ribbon Girls June Any Image Challenge

I used an image on my card.

I played quite a bit with my Sugar Pea Design stamps (I have 2 sets of theirs) for all the sketches they have had this month – I will be posting those in the next day or so. But here is the first card I made today with Fairy Sweet! I made a total of three cards using just this stamp set with the different sketches!! So, here we go –

~ Make A Wish Fairy Card ~

I wish you could see this card up close and see the sparkle and shimmer I added with a Wink Of Stella Clear pen. I used scraps from my box and a circle die cut from MFT. Colored her in with my “Ziggy“s. Isn’t she so adorable?

Maybe if you click on the picture you can see it closer!

Monkey Business

Well, hello all you FABULOUS people!!

I have been gone for a few days – we had a Family Reunion, and between preparing for it, being at it, and resting up from it I have not been able to post anything!! But I made a card today, so here you go!!

~ Belated Birthday Wishes card ~

Started with a Close to Cocoa (SU!) top folding card base, used Scalloped Rectangles die (Lawn Fawn) to cut a layer from Creamy Caramel card stock (SU!). With the Stitched Rectangle dies, also from Lawn Fawn I cut a piece of watercolor paper. I used the Diagonal Stripe stencil (Simon Says Stamp) to ink up this layer with Gumball Green inkpad and a stamping sponge. I stamped the monkey from Smoocheroos stamp set with Versafine black ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Colored him in with my “Ziggy“s and put him on with foam mounted tape. A piece of green twine  was added so it looked like the monkey was hanging from it. My sentiment was also stamped in black and embossed, it is from the Word Salad set from Paper Smooches!

~Linking up to the following challenges~

Crafty Creations Challenge# 317 Tic-Tac-Toe

I used the middle row, going down: Use a punch/dies – I used 2 dies on this card, Image – my monkey, Birthday – the sentiment wishes the receiver a belated birthday wish!

Just Add Ink!# 316…. Stripes

I used a Diagonal Stripe stencil (SSS) to add some stripes behind my monkey!!

Lets Party

Hello there, all my wonderful friends –

I hope you are doing well and feeling happy on this fine Saturday!!

Made this card this evening:

Started with a Pink Passion card base – top folding, added a mini Cupcake doily from Doodlebug Designs – used a rectangle and a banner die to cut pieces out of watercolor paper – Stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches Word Salad Set and the heart balloon from the Paper Smooches Smoocheroos set!

Stamped the heart balloons and sentiment with the  Versafine – Onyx Black  inkpad and used Clear ultra fine embossing powder.

Colored the hearts in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens  – 025 Pink, and 026 Light Pink and a paintbrush!! On the rectangle I colored with my Zig 031 Cobalt Blue and then used water to blend it out! I did the same with the banner – I used 025 Pink with water to blend it to cover the banner with color.

I used a white card base and stamped the flowers and leaves in SU! inks – Pink Passion, Mint Melody, and Yoyo Yellow! The papers are scraps from my box and I fussy cut the two leaves and flower!!

Boy or Girl

For my card this time over at Simply Create Too – Challenge # 93: It’s a Special Occasion I made a duo of cards using old stamps (not sure of their names) from Stampin’ Up!

My card duo:

Ballet Blue paper and ink were used on the boy card!! Pretty in Pink paper and ink for the girl card!

Jute twine was used to hang the die cut tags and I used eyelets (remember those-LOL) on them!

And, YES, I did use a corrugator on the kraft paper strips!

And lastly, the grosgrain ribbon is from my bucket of ribbon scraps!!!

I am also linking this up to the following challenges:

Guest Designing at 4 Crafty Chicks – Week 4

Well, Hello to all you fabulous folks!!!

I have some fun news – I am Guest Designing for 4 Crafty Chicks this month!!

This is my last week – I would really like to thank the chicks for having me!!

For this fourth week of August the Challenge is  # 261 {Funky Hair}  – It will run for a week!!

And Lori is our host!

It would be so great if you came over and joined us!!

Here is the card I made for this challenge:

When I thought about Funky colored hair – the first thing that came to mind is a CLOWN!!

The clown, balloon and sentiment were all stamped using the Kaleidacolor Calypso inkpad – the images and sentiment are from a REALLY OLD SU! set called Party Time!! I used an embossing folder from Sissix called Snowballs! I wanted the colors to match so I took the rainbow pad and smooshed it onto an acrylic block and used it like a paint palette – getting water on my brush and then picking up some ink!! I colored the balloon and the clown in that way!! Did some fussy cutting and then used foam squares to mount all pieces to the card!! Added a piece of twine for the balloon string!!

I would like to also link this card up to these challenges:
