I started this card with a Green Galore top folding A2 card, I cut a white panel using Blueprints # 1 from My Favorite Things. I stamped shapes from the STAMPlorationsset called Retro Mod Shapes. I used the following Stampin’ Up! ink colors – Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Cool Caribbean, Only Orange, and Daffodil Delight. The happy and birthday was stamped using a set from STAMPlorations called Happy. I embossed the happy in white on the banner that was cut from a Stampin’ Up!banner die. I punched holes on wither side of the banner and tied some yellow twine through and made a bow.
~I want to link this card up to the following challenges~
Hello, All!! Hope you are Happy, Healthy and Safe!!
And I also hope you get some crafty time today!!
I did, just a little bit, and I made this:
~ Star Trio Birthday Card ~
Papers were from in my stash, the plaid background was die cut with Blueprints # 1 from My Favorite Things. The banner was cut from a Stampin’ Up!banner die. The happy and birthday was stamped using a set from STAMPlorations called Happy. I embossed in white the word happy and stamped birthday with Cool Caribbean ink (SU!). I added a trio of buttons from my Doodlebug button stash and also some white iridescent sequins.
I have only one set from Stamplorations currently – The set I used is called Vignette: Retro Mod Shapes!!
I was seriously looking to use that one set to create a chevron look on my card!! I think it looks more like a feather or maybe a blob or maybe with a very big stretch for chevrons that match the sketch!!
The sentiment is from SU! I think – it was a garage sale purchase for the single stamp so not sure about its’ original home!!
So, sometimes things don’t work out but we have to keep going!! I am trying very hard not to categorize this card as a disappointment or an EPIC fail!! Just a learning experience, right?!?!??
Please visit again, I will be creating some more soon!!
In fact – I have a fun card made with some Doodlebug Products to share soon!!
