Birthday Stars

Hello, All!! Hope you are Happy, Healthy and Safe!!

And I also hope you get some crafty time today!!

I did, just a little bit, and I made this:

~ Star Trio Birthday Card ~

Papers were from in my stash,  the plaid background was die cut with Blueprints # 1 from My Favorite Things. The banner was cut from a Stampin’ Up! banner die. The happy and birthday was stamped using a set from STAMPlorations called Happy. I embossed in white the word happy and stamped birthday with Cool Caribbean ink (SU!)I added a trio of buttons from my Doodlebug button stash and also some white iridescent sequins.

Winnie & Walter Share the Love – Days 3, 4, and 5

Here I am with my other 3 cards for the Winnie & Walter Share the Love featuring Essentials by Ellen!

Hang on tight – this is ANOTHER LONG post!!!

~ Sparkly Fireworks Background card ~

I began with this card to die cut a stitched rectangle (Lawn Fawn) out of some shiny silver paper. I then cut a piece of white card stock to fit just inside the stitched lines. Then I stamped the dandelion looking image from Bohemian Garden by Essentials by Ellen. I stamped with Versamark ink, embossed with silver powder and then stamped slightly off again with Brilliant Blue and Real Red (SU!).  The hope was to create a background – a sky full of fireworks, hopefully you see it! I stamped the little stars from the Sugar Rush set by Winnie & Walter in the same colors. Using the same silver paper and a sentiment from the Sugar Rush set I used white embossing powder  to make a banner and added that to my card.

color+challenge Funday Friday keep calm

My card is definitely Red, White, AND Blue!!!

For my fourth card I made this:

~ Transparent Birthday Card with Flowers ~

Began with a top folding A2 card of Cool Caribbean card stock (SU!) Added a horizontal stitched strip (MFT) from Certainly Celery card stock (SU!) that I cut a notch in. A circle was die cut (MFT) out of watercolor paper to stamp the flowers from Bohemian Garden set made by Essentials by Ellen. I used Only Orange, Cool Caribbean, Certainly Celery ink (all SU!) to stamp my garden of flowers, then I blended the colors with a wet paintbrush. Splatters of Night of Navy ink (SU!) were added. Die cut the word Happy from Winnie & Walter out of Night of Navy card stock. The vellum piece was die cut using a stitched rectangle (Lawn Fawn). I stamped the word birthday from the Sugar Rush set (also W&W) with Versamark ink and embossed it with white powder. The sentiment was added using foam squares that I had trimmed down and for extra bling I added sequins with some micro glue dots!

~I am headed over with this card to play in these challenges~

My fifth and final card made yesterday:

~ Just a Note Trifold Card ~

wwmoodboard1adj  wwmoodboard2adj

Taking a 4″ by 8″ piece of white card stock – I scored it at 2″ and 6″ – I then added some  American Crafts gold glitter paper to each edge and then folded them together to get a tri-fold card. I mounted this part to a 4 1/4 square of black card stock. I stamped the 3 small hearts, large heart and the just a note sentiment from the Fancy Thanks set made by Essentials by Ellen. The star and banner came from the Winnie & Walter set called Sugar Rush. The colors I used were Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Cool Caribbean, Only Orange, and Marigold Morning. (All from Stampin’ Up!). The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

~I am happy to play with this fun card in these challenges~

I was drawn by the black and white, the orange colors, the pink colors, the aqua color, and the touches of gold.

Winnie & Walter Share the Love – Days 1 and 2

I mentioned that I made 5 more cards yesterday – well, right now I am going to show you two of them!

I will pop back in later with a second post showing the remaining three!

The cards I made are ALL for the Share The Love at Winnie & Walter featuring Essentials by Ellen!

~ Sparkly Floral Happy Birthday ~

My sparkly Happy Birthday card involved some Inlaid die cutting, embossing, and stenciling.

I started by stenciling my background using Night of Navy ink and the Falling Snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut using Happy Cutaway from Winnie & Walter – cutting one from my background and one from American Crafts gold glitter paper.  The flower was stamped in gold embossing powder and colored in with Calypso Coral  ink (SU!) and a wet paintbrush. The set used was Bohemian Garden from Essentials by Ellen. And the word birthday also embossed in gold is from the Sugar Rush set by W & W. The doodles around the edges were done using a Night of Navy marker (SU!). I added sequins and a coral colored pearl for the flowers’ center!

~I am HAPPY to link this card up to the following challenges~

MFT’s Camp Create – postcard from camp

Hi EVERYBODY!!!! I am over at Camp Create!

Camp Create is an awesome week long learning & doing event over at My Favorite Things

~ Here is the daily schedule ~

These are the badges I am hoping to earn. I have 3 cards to show you today and I will post the badge I earn for linking up a card in that category! Long post – sorry!

The videos and instruction on all of these topics has been so inspiring to me and I am excited to create and participate!

~Sweet As Can Bee Card ~

I love this cute bee girl that is sadly a retired stamp set from MFT – it is a big favorite with me, so I hope it is ok that I used her for this card. I stamped her in Versafine black ink on watercolor paper, embossed with clear embossing powder and used my “Ziggy“s to color her in. How I added my Doodlebug glitter: I put down two strips of crafty power tape from Scrapbook Adhesives and poured my Beetle Black glitter onto them and rubbed my finger over it to press it in to the tape. For the yellow glitter-y triangles I used an SU! set called Little Shapes and stamped them with YoYo Yellow craft (pigment) ink and then put the Bumblebee glitter on while still wet – It did not stick horribly well but there is some shimmer there! Some Doodlebug Sequins added another touch of glitz and my card is done!

~ Hi, Honey card ~

This card was made up of scrap papers – I used MFT‘s BluePrints # 1 to do all the layers for my card. My main image (yes, I am using the adorable Bee girl again) was stamped on watercolor paper with Versafine black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder and then I water colored her using my “Ziggy“s and a wet paintbrush.

Such a fun image to color – I love it.

My Badge for Wonderful Watercolor – Print

~ You’re Brilliant card ~

My lightbulb card was die cut using Lightbulb Die-namics from MFT.  Scrap paper was used for all pieces, including the vellum and shiny silver paper, except for the cool chevron paper – that was part of a prize from MFT. One of their paper pads – I die cut the panel using Vertical Stitched Rectangles. Sentiment (from this set) was stamped on it with Versamark Ink and embossed with white powder. For the rays I used two post-it notes and placed them and then sponged Daffodil Delight ink in between where I placed the papers. After all the rays were sponged I added Wink of Stella to each of the rays and the vellum layer of the lightbulb.

~I Made this Christmas Card~

I made this card using the following colors of cardstock  from SU! – Regal Rose, Rose Romance, white and Basic Grey.   I used Small Stitched Rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn for two of my layers and the grey layer was die cut using Scalloped Rectangles also from  Lawn FawnI used a set called Happy MeowDay from Simon Says StampI stamped it with Black StazOn ink and colored it in with my Ziggy‘s but I forgot to stamp it on watercolor paper so my coloring does not look so good! I added a few random sequins!

CASEing Kelly Blog Hop

CASEing Kelly Blog Hop Banner

Welcome to this very special Blog Hop that has been put together for the amazingly talented and oh-so-sweet Kelly Latevola

This hop is comprised of a group of crafters each saying “thank you” to Kelly for all her generosity and kindheartedness. In Kelly’s CASEing Genius posts, she always takes THREE cards from the designer she is CASEing, and makes ONE card inspired by those three cards. I was featured by Kelly back in June of this year – you can see that post HERE! We were each invited to so the same with 3 of Kelly’s cards.
kellycard1 kellycard2 kellycard3
These are the 3 Kelly cards I chose – The first one inspired me to use a yellow strip down the side and to add sequins! The second card had me reaching for a girl stamp to add – and I also decided I wanted my yellow strip to be plaid like the green behind the beautiful girl Kelly colored!! And in my mind I turned the last card on it’s side and added my sentiment in the white space!!

Here is how my CASE of the beautiful, wonderfully sweet Kelly went:

I love the saying on this card – Kelly knows how to add BEAUTY to every day!!!

Butterfly Birthday

Well, here I am, back with my third creation for today!! I have had to do things in spurts because of the lingering of this migraine!! I feel like the end is near, though!! Hopefully a good night’s sleep will find me ready for a new, feeling good day!!

As I mentioned in my last post the last two cards I made were CAS and One-Layer!!

My last and third card of the day turned out like this:

First thing I did on this card was use a diagonally striped stencil from Simon Says Stamp – I used Taken With Teal and Tempting Turquoise SU! inks and blended them to create the lines behind my butterfly!! The Butterfly itself was a gift from a crafty friend named Cheryl from Paper Panacea – I colored it all over with a Wink of Stella clear pen and glued it to my card with Ranger Multi Medium Matte! Added some sequins and a small Happy Birthday!!

This card is going to be linked up to these challenges:

With Love – A Heart-y Card

I’m back to share the second card I made today!! The next two were pretty simple one-layer cards with either masking or stenciling!! They made up pretty fast and easy!!

My second card looks like this:

This card features the Stampin’ Up! set called Happy Hearts and a couple of mini heart stamps that I do not remember where I got them from – I have had them for AGES!!! I used 2 purple inkpads and brush markers for this card -Lovely Lilac and Lavender Lace!! Also used a scrap of vellum for my sentiment and added Doodlebug Design sequins to jazz it up a bit but still keep it a flat, mailable card!! Masking was involved!! =]

I am happy that I can link this card up to these challenges:
