Here’s The Scoop

Hello, ALL you BEAUTIFUL people!! SO glad you are here!!

Monday brought me a little more creative time in my craft room!!

I made this card:

triplescoopadj

This card needed to be CAS so I started out with a blank white cardstock that I layered on Positively Pink cardstock (SU!). I took the Here’s The Scoop set from Lawn Fawn and stamped a trio of ice cream scoops on various Doodlebug Glitter papers in Lily White, Cupcake, and Tangerine. The shiny metal paper I used for the scoop was a scrap in my scrap box! Embossed using Onyx Black Versafine Ink and Clear Embossing powder on a vellum banner. It was stapled on using a mini stapler.

The inside of my card says – You are SO COOL!!

I am so excited to be linking this card up to these challenges:

CAS(E) This SketchSketch # 173

CTS_173

I went with three scoops of ice cream for the triangles and put my sentiment across my cluster.

I added shimmer and shine by stamping each of my images using Black Staz On ink on shiny, glittery, sparkly paper and then cutting them out and adhering them to my card!

My card uses a pun – Here’s the Scoop, You are SO COOL!!

I made this card using the Loads of Love SU! stamp set – I stamped the truck and the sentiment on watercolor paper using a Versafine Black inkpad and then embossed with clear embossing powder!!

I fussy cut the tag and the truck! I colored the truck in using Zig markers010 Black, 090 Grey and 022 Carmine Red and a Winsor & Newton Cotman round 2 brush

Using Backdrop Builders from Paper Smooches I cut the road and the grass from scraps and layered them with the blue cloud paper – using a Circle die from My Favorite Things I cut the layered pieces into a circle!

The yellow paper is from my scraps and I used a white signo gel pen to draw stitches around the paper and I used a Corner Chomper on the bottom right corner!! Tag and truck were added with foam squares and the tag was tied with black twine!

The DoubleClick Skittles colors I used on this are: Lemon and Pebble Glitter

Crayon Trio

After some laundry, chopping veggies and putting dinner in the Crock Pot I had time to create a card using a new technique to me!

This is the card I made:

crayontriosig

I made this card using Lawn Fawn‘s Color My World stamp set and matching die!

Stamped the crayon with the  Versafine – Onyx Black  inkpad and used Clear ultra fine embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped with a VersaMark Ink Pad and embossed with White embossing powder!! I then colored over the letters in the word color with my colored pencils!

Colored the crayons in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and a Zig Detailer Watercolor brush!

NEW TECHNIQUE

The jar is from an SU! set called Perfectly Preserved! I stamped it on an acetate sheet with a Black StazOn ink pad – trimmed around the edges and put it over the crayons I had stamped!! I had never stamped on acetate before!!

I used 1/8″ Scor-Tape from Classy Cards ‘n Such to adhere my acetate to the watercolor cardstock!

I want to link this card up to the following challenges:

So today I sketched out 3 or 4 card ideas – made 3 of them and not one of them turned out like I had in mind!!

But at least I got back in the craft chair again!!

Of the 3 cards I made – two of them you will see later this week as they are for Design Teams!

This one I made to post today:

beedaysig

I made this card using old SU! stamps (bee & sentiment) and I free handed the bee trail – Layered my two white panels that were split with a black strip on Daffodil Delight cardstock! This is the card I am most pleased with that I made today!! But it is different than I envisioned!!

hopeanchorsig

This card was made from a chipboard anchor I had DEEP in my stash – found it, painted it white and added some blue ribbon scraps to the top of it and tied them on with a double knot!! I tore waves in this scrap paper I had and sponged with Night Of Navy SU! ink on the edges! I used Bold Alphabet (also from SU!) to stamp the word HOPE and then I hand wrote the other words!! I secured the anchor on my card using 1/2″ glue dots on it in 5 or 6 places!!

I want to link this card up to these additional challenges:

Love Notes for Retreat # 2

Before I start this post – I have a confession to make:

I. CAN’T. DO. EVERYTHING.

I told myself I could BUT then found out I lied!!!

I am SO SORRY to have been lacking in the Commenting area – I know that I have not done well with that and have fallen GROSSLY behind!! I am OVERWHELMED and want to just start a fresh, clean slate!! I love all your blogs and love seeing what delights you dazzle us with and sharing with you what I enjoyed makes me happy so I  will try to be better!! Thank you for your understanding!!

On that note, let me add — I am blogging from bed today about my Retreat because I seem to have caught some kind of yucky flu bug!! Luckily pictures are all taken – and all I have to do is the actual post part!! Hope you enjoy Day # 3!

Today I want to share about the Love Notes Kit I made for each person! The idea was to encourage all my friends to notice nice things about each other and then tell them in a little note!

The Love Notes Kit looked like this:

lovenotekitfrsig

And on the back – it had a description of what was in each kit:

lovenotekittextsig

And there was also a pen washi taped onto the back

lovenotebacksig

And I closed it on the front with a mini tag and a black clothespin that I added a twine bow and button to!

lovenoteclipsig

Here are the mint, toothpicks, and chocolate kiss – this is how I bagged them up

lnkitinsidesig

NOW – For the MINI CARDS that went into the kit!!

I made 8 sets of 8 mini cards and I am going to show you 4 of them today!!

loveyoumcsig

This card was made from a diecut from a Pebbles 12 by 12 paper! It was added to a premade card from Michaels along with a pink heart brad!! The size is 3 by 3 inches!

Card # 2 You Make Me Smile

makemesmilemcsig

Also 3 by 3 inches this card features another die cut from the same Pebbles 12 by 12 paper! I had cut some pink cardstock for these cards and used some envelopes that I had! Sequins were added to dazzle it up a bit!!

Card # 3 All You Have to Do is Fly

butterflymcsig

I feel so repetitious because this card is ALSO 3 by 3 inches and made with a Pebbles Die cut – layered it on some pink scraps from my scrap box!! I think this 12 by 12 piece of paper that I cut everything from is amazing!! I will post a pic at the end of the post!

Card # 4 Sweet

sweetbuttonmcsig

Made from a premade tab note – 2 by 3 inch size! I added Gold paper and a wood button from American Crafts that said Sweet on it – I tied some really thin jute twine through the button holes and used a 1″ glue dot to secure it to the card!!

Here is the picture of the sheet of die cuts that I cut up and used from Pebbles, Inc.

12 by 12 paper by Pebbles, Inc - From Me to You from Sunny Side Collection as it appeared before I cut it apart.
