Monkeying Around – Now I’m Late!

So I made a monkey card the other day – and when I did I stamped 2 monkeys but only used one!

Using the 2nd monkey I made a Masculine/For a Guy card!

~ Belated Birthday Wishes Monkey card ~

I made this cute and fun square card by using my Squares dies from MFT I ended up cutting 3 sizes using papers in my scrap file – Love it when I can do that! Ended up with 5 layers on this card.

I stamped the monkey from Smoocheroos stamp set with Versafine black ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Colored him in with my “Ziggy“s and put him on with foam mounted tape.

My sentiment was also stamped in black and embossed, it is from the Word Salad set from Paper Smooches!

Morning Is NOT my Friend!

So, this morning I woke up early and could not go back to sleep.

I decided to go in my craft room and play!

~ Morning is NOT my Friend card ~

This fun and simple card started with a top folding Only Orange (SU!) card base. To that I added some scraps that were cut with Paper Smooches Scalloped Frames – I inlaid the middle back in the frame. I stamped the Coffee Loving girl from the Moka Sunshine set from Taylored Expressions onto watercolor paper. I stamped in black Versafine ink and embossed with clear powder. Of course, I colored her in with my “Ziggy“s, fussy cut her out and put her on my card with foam squares. A speech bubble was added and two of the sentiments from Moka Sunshine were added. One was embossed with white embossing powder. A few random enamel dots and jewels spiced it up!

I tilted my inside rectangle a bit and in the place of the butterflies I put my Coffee Loving girl!

Monkey Business

Well, hello all you FABULOUS people!!

I have been gone for a few days – we had a Family Reunion, and between preparing for it, being at it, and resting up from it I have not been able to post anything!! But I made a card today, so here you go!!

~ Belated Birthday Wishes card ~

Started with a Close to Cocoa (SU!) top folding card base, used Scalloped Rectangles die (Lawn Fawn) to cut a layer from Creamy Caramel card stock (SU!). With the Stitched Rectangle dies, also from Lawn Fawn I cut a piece of watercolor paper. I used the Diagonal Stripe stencil (Simon Says Stamp) to ink up this layer with Gumball Green inkpad and a stamping sponge. I stamped the monkey from Smoocheroos stamp set with Versafine black ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Colored him in with my “Ziggy“s and put him on with foam mounted tape. A piece of green twine  was added so it looked like the monkey was hanging from it. My sentiment was also stamped in black and embossed, it is from the Word Salad set from Paper Smooches!

Citrus & Such – Take 2

I really was NOT kidding when I said I love this set from Stampin’ Up!

Citrus & Such – an oldie but such a GOODIE!!! (This link goes to Pinterest and there is a photo of the set)

~ So I made another card – Here it is ~

I used the aforementioned set with Only Orange, Daffodil Delight inkpads and I colored on the slice with Pretty in Pink and Apricot Appeal markers. I masked all the images using Post-It notes, and then covered all the images up and used the Diagonal Stripe stencil from Simon Says Stamp in Certainly Celery to create a background! I also used a splatter stamp with the Apricot Appeal marker and added some more color to the background! I used a sentiment from the Chit Chat Stamp set from Paper Smooches stamped in Tangelo Twist!

This is a simple one-layer, “mailable” card!! I need so many of this kind!

Rainbow Love

I played around a little yesterday with masking and sponging and I came up with this card:

I used a homemade circle stencil and 2 Paper Smooches stamp sets to make this card! The stamp sets I used are Word Salad and Smoocheroos. I took all the hearts and stamped them at the top of a Post-It note like this –

Then I very carefully cut them out! They all had sticky stuff on them since I had stamped them up at the top of the Post-It note! Then I took my homemade circle stencil – made out of chipboard and various sized circle punches – situated the largest circle where I wanted it and then placed the large heart mask inside the circle as shown here:

I used Sponge Daubers – 1 per color and did each circle/heart smaller than the one before it!! I staggered them in an upward diagonal on my simple white card base.  Inks I used are a Calypso Kaleidacolor rainbow ink pad and for the orange I used Tangelo Twist from Stampin’ Up!

After sponging all the circles the masks were all colored up so I added them to the card except the red one because I put the “Love You” text by that one.

And here is my card for the Use some Wheels challenge:

I made this card using the Loads of Love SU! stamp set – I stamped the truck and the sentiment on watercolor paper using a Versafine Black inkpad and then embossed with clear embossing powder!!

I fussy cut the tag and the truck! I colored the truck in using Zig markers010 Black, 090 Grey and 022 Carmine Red and a Winsor & Newton Cotman round 2 brush

Using Backdrop Builders from Paper Smooches I cut the road and the grass from scraps and layered them with the blue cloud paper – using a Circle die from My Favorite Things I cut the layered pieces into a circle!

The yellow paper is from my scraps and I used a white signo gel pen to draw stitches around the paper and I used a Corner Chomper on the bottom right corner!! Tag and truck were added with foam squares and the tag was tied with black twine!

The DoubleClick Skittles colors I used on this are: Lemon and Pebble Glitter

Thanks So Much

Hello, it feels like forever since I have been on here –

I have been plagued by the most painful and persistent migraine!!!

It finally subsided for awhile this afternoon so I made a card!!!

A Thanks SO much card:

Please click on the picture to see it in High Definition!!!

This card was my first attempt at NO-LINE WATERCOLORING!!

I stamped Thanks from the Paper Smooches Chit Chat set in Creamy Caramel ink that had been stamped off first!! I stamped on watercolor paper and then picked up ink from Really Rust, Old Olive, and More Mustard inkpads with a paintbrush and water! The Scalloped Frame is also from Paper Smooches and I cut it out of Really Rust paper – the plaid paper was from my stash! The words So much (also from Chit Chat set) were stamped with Really Rust ink directly onto the plaid paper! I die cut the maple leaves out with the Seasonal Tree die – also from Paper Smooches! Once they were cut out I painted on them the same 3 colors I used for the letters in Thanks!!

I am very happy to be linking this card up to these challenges:

Lets Party

Hello there, all my wonderful friends –

I hope you are doing well and feeling happy on this fine Saturday!!

Made this card this evening:

Started with a Pink Passion card base – top folding, added a mini Cupcake doily from Doodlebug Designs – used a rectangle and a banner die to cut pieces out of watercolor paper – Stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches Word Salad Set and the heart balloon from the Paper Smooches Smoocheroos set!

Stamped the heart balloons and sentiment with the  Versafine – Onyx Black  inkpad and used Clear ultra fine embossing powder.

Colored the hearts in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens  – 025 Pink, and 026 Light Pink and a paintbrush!! On the rectangle I colored with my Zig 031 Cobalt Blue and then used water to blend it out! I did the same with the banner – I used 025 Pink with water to blend it to cover the banner with color.
