There is SUNSHINE in my soul today!

I needed a little pick-me-up this morning so I went into my craft room to play around a bit!

I played around with my “Ziggy”s, a die cut and a stencil.

Using those things I made two sunshine cards!

~Sunshine Happy Birthday~

To make this card I used a circle die cut as a guide on my watercolor paper. I cut my paper using the stitched rectangles from Lawn Fawn – LOVE those!! See the photo below. Then I used 3 colors of  “Ziggy“s – yellow, bright yellow , and orange and colored in some with each color and then used a wet paintbrush to blend the colors.

Then to make the rays I used a Simon Says Stamp Layered Tree Stencil. (See Below) I used the zig pens to trace the outline of the stencil and then filled it in by wetting the ink and blending it with a wet paintbrush.

Finished off the card by doing a really, really light blue wash and added a sentiment from SU! – stamped it with Only Orange craft ink and embossed it with clear powder.

To add a little pizzazz to my card I used some Doodlebug Sprinkles – Tangerine and BumbleBee.

I am linking this card up to these challenges:

Summer-y Flower Garden Card

This is a busy day for my city – HUGE celebration – Headed to a parade in awhile.

But I stole away some time in my craft room – my sister was over and we talked as I worked.

~Summer-y Flower Garden Card~

Making this card involved water coloring with my “Ziggy“s – first, I stamped the Doodlie-Do set from PaperTrey Ink onto watercolor paper with Versamark ink and then embossed them with gold powder. After coloring them in I used the Doodlie-Do matching dies to cut all my images out. I die cut a white panel using Large Stitched rectangles from Lawn Fawn. The Green Galore cardstock was die cut using Scalloped Rectangles also from LF.

I matched my Ziggy‘s as close as I could to Orchid Opulence, Bermuda Bay (these links go to the Zig color marker that matched the closest to the SU! ink) and for the Green Galore I actually smooshed the ink pad to get ink on the lid and then picked up the ink using a wet paintbrush.

~This lovely garden card is going to play in these challenges~

I used Green Galore ink and card stock and I used Orchid Opulence and Bermuda Bay colors as inspiration of which Zig’s to use – hope it fits!

Make My Monday Photo Inspiration

I took inspiration from the bright, bold colors and the doodles/lines added to the images – thought my flowers looked a little like them – my gold embossing reflects the light color in the image. I hope it fits!

MarkerPOP # 95 Summertime Challenge

This is the cutest card ever – love it!! What a genius source of inspiration – I loved the colors in the bluebird and the butterfly and tried to duplicate them on my Summer-y  flowers using my Zig markers.

A Whale of a Tale

Today was a CRAZY, BUSY day and after a little rest I decided to de-stress in my craft room!!

And that, my friends, is my WHALE of a TALE – I could give you the details of my day but it makes me tired just thinking about everything I did and went through, so let’s get on to my card!!

~Showered With Love on your Big Day~

I made this card using my home-made circle stencil (again) – I have had so much fun getting inky!! And I embossed with shiny silver embossing powder. The smallest silver dots were made with the end of a pencil – I stamped it in Versamark ink and then embossed them. The sentiment of the card reads – Showered with Love on your Big Day! No matter how hard I tried I could not capture the embossed sentiment very well – Sorry!

I used Lawn Fawn diecuts for my layers. Large Stitched Rectangles and Scalloped Rectangles. The stamp set I used is from a Studio Calico card kit that I won several years ago. Ink colors and paper colors are Lavender Lace and Cool Caribbean, both from Stampin’ Up!

~I was inspired to make this card by these challenges~

{Cupcake Inspirations}Challenge 363

I loved all the circles I saw in this picture – and the silver, the purple, and the light blue. I know most of my card features things above the sea – but a whale goes under the sea some of the time! 😉

Pile It On Challenge # 109 Tic-Tac-Toe

I used the middle row going down – Wet Embossing, I used a Stamp Image, and I used 2 different Die Cuts for the layers on my card!!

~Good Morning, Sunshine card~

My cardstock layers and coloring of image are in the following colors – So Saffron, Blush Blossom, Rose Red from Stampin’ Up!I used my “Ziggy“s for the rest of the coloring.  I used Stitched Rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn and my circle die is from MFT. The banner was hand-cut around the sentiment that I had stamped in  Rose Red ink. I fussy cut the image and put that and the sentiment on with foam squares.

Happy Christmas

I had a little fun in my craft room today before I am off to babysit the Grand-littles!!

~I Made this Christmas Card~

I made this card using the following colors of cardstock  from SU! – Regal Rose, Rose Romance, white and Basic Grey.   I used Small Stitched Rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn for two of my layers and the grey layer was die cut using Scalloped Rectangles also from  Lawn FawnI used a set called Happy MeowDay from Simon Says StampI stamped it with Black StazOn ink and colored it in with my Ziggy‘s but I forgot to stamp it on watercolor paper so my coloring does not look so good! I added a few random sequins!

I am hustling to add these card to these challenges:

I made a Christmas card!

Thank you for coming today – hope you are having a BEAUTIFUL day!

Starry Smile

I’ve got stars in my eyes today because of the card I made today! I shaded and blended!

~Here is my card~

To start I made a stencil using a piece of chipboard that I used these dies on – the smallest two stars from Stars Framelit dies from Stampin’ Up!, and the two stars in the School Time Dies Set from Sunny Studio Stamps and the fifth star was a thank you on my latest order from Sunny Studio Stamps!

~This is what it looked like~

After the stars were on it I also die cut a Small Stitched rectangle from Lawn Fawn. I used the largest one from that set which measured 5 by 3.75 inches.  I also cut a panel from white card stock too! Then I cut the stars out from the white piece also.

Using my homemade star stencil I taped it down on a white card base. Then using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry (both from SU!) I sponged in the stars using a Sponge Dauber.

I then took the white stitched rectangle with the stars cut out and sponged  on it with two blues – Night of Navy and Taken with Teal (also from SU!). After sponging I put water droplets on my card and patted them off with a paper towel. Then using foam squares I put the rectangle over the card front where the stars were so they could be seen through the blue. I also added some Clear Glitter -Wink of Stella to my stars.

I needed a sentiment so I used my Smile die from Little Yellow Bicycle  -that I purchased at Hobby Lobby and cut it out of some dark blue vellum that I had in my paper file!

I put the word smile and the Pretty Pink Posh sequins on with micro glue dots.

~Ok – now that my card is done, it is going to play in these challenges~

Here’s The Scoop

Hello, ALL you BEAUTIFUL people!! SO glad you are here!!

Monday brought me a little more creative time in my craft room!!

I made this card:

This card needed to be CAS so I started out with a blank white cardstock that I layered on Positively Pink cardstock (SU!). I took the Here’s The Scoop set from Lawn Fawn and stamped a trio of ice cream scoops on various Doodlebug Glitter papers in Lily White, Cupcake, and Tangerine. The shiny metal paper I used for the scoop was a scrap in my scrap box! Embossed using Onyx Black Versafine Ink and Clear Embossing powder on a vellum banner. It was stapled on using a mini stapler.

The inside of my card says – You are SO COOL!!

I am so excited to be linking this card up to these challenges:

I went with three scoops of ice cream for the triangles and put my sentiment across my cluster.

Crayon Trio

After some laundry, chopping veggies and putting dinner in the Crock Pot I had time to create a card using a new technique to me!

This is the card I made:

I made this card using Lawn Fawn‘s Color My World stamp set and matching die!

Stamped the crayon with the  Versafine – Onyx Black  inkpad and used Clear ultra fine embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped with a VersaMark Ink Pad and embossed with White embossing powder!! I then colored over the letters in the word color with my colored pencils!

Colored the crayons in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and a Zig Detailer Watercolor brush!

The jar is from an SU! set called Perfectly Preserved! I stamped it on an acetate sheet with a Black StazOn ink pad – trimmed around the edges and put it over the crayons I had stamped!! I had never stamped on acetate before!!

I used 1/8″ Scor-Tape from Classy Cards ‘n Such to adhere my acetate to the watercolor cardstock!

I want to link this card up to the following challenges:
