PEACE

July6

This afternoon I was struggling to find PEACE – I searched my heart and decided to go and create something for this Inspirational Scripture from Word Art Wednesday! I found that PEACE can come to me when I create! When I am creating something BEAUTIFUL to show someone I care, I feel love for that person and I am blessed with a sense of PEACE in that moment!!

~ PEACE card ~

Peaceadj

This card was made for the Mix It Up Challenge over at the CLASSroom by Ellen Hutson. For this challenge we are playing with Neat & Tangled and Ellen Hutson products together on one card.

I used Bohemian Garden from Ellen Hutson, and Bible Journaling from Neat & Tangled. I stamped my images and word using Versamark Ink and Gold embossing powder. I die cut my rectangle panel using a Lawn Fawn die. I edged the panel with gold glitter paper from American Crafts and also added a strip of lace!

I water colored over the images using Stampin’ Up Inks – Night Of Navy, Handsome Hunter, Bordering Blue and Regal Rose! I used the squooshing method to get ink on the lids of the ink pads and then I picked up the ink with a wet paintbrush! I also added Night of Navy ink splatters with my wet paintbrush.

Winnie & Walter Share the Love – Days 3, 4, and 5

Here I am with my other 3 cards for the Winnie & Walter Share the Love featuring Essentials by Ellen!

sharetheloveww

Hang on tight – this is ANOTHER LONG post!!!

~ Sparkly Fireworks Background card ~

wwbackgroundadj

I began with this card to die cut a stitched rectangle (Lawn Fawn) out of some shiny silver paper. I then cut a piece of white card stock to fit just inside the stitched lines. Then I stamped the dandelion looking image from Bohemian Garden by Essentials by Ellen. I stamped with Versamark ink, embossed with silver powder and then stamped slightly off again with Brilliant Blue and Real Red (SU!).  The hope was to create a background – a sky full of fireworks, hopefully you see it! I stamped the little stars from the Sugar Rush set by Winnie & Walter in the same colors. Using the same silver paper and a sentiment from the Sugar Rush set I used white embossing powder  to make a banner and added that to my card.

My card is definitely Red, White, AND Blue!!!

For my fourth card I made this:

~ Transparent Birthday Card with Flowers ~

wwtransparentadj

Began with a top folding A2 card of Cool Caribbean card stock (SU!) Added a horizontal stitched strip (MFT) from Certainly Celery card stock (SU!) that I cut a notch in. A circle was die cut (MFT) out of watercolor paper to stamp the flowers from Bohemian Garden set made by Essentials by Ellen. I used Only Orange, Cool Caribbean, Certainly Celery ink (all SU!) to stamp my garden of flowers, then I blended the colors with a wet paintbrush. Splatters of Night of Navy ink (SU!) were added. Die cut the word Happy from Winnie & Walter out of Night of Navy card stock. The vellum piece was die cut using a stitched rectangle (Lawn Fawn). I stamped the word birthday from the Sugar Rush set (also W&W) with Versamark ink and embossed it with white powder. The sentiment was added using foam squares that I had trimmed down and for extra bling I added sequins with some micro glue dots!

~I am headed over with this card to play in these challenges~

My fifth and final card made yesterday:

~ Just a Note Trifold Card ~

wwmoodboard1adj  wwmoodboard2adj

Taking a 4″ by 8″ piece of white card stock – I scored it at 2″ and 6″ – I then added some  American Crafts gold glitter paper to each edge and then folded them together to get a tri-fold card. I mounted this part to a 4 1/4 square of black card stock. I stamped the 3 small hearts, large heart and the just a note sentiment from the Fancy Thanks set made by Essentials by Ellen. The star and banner came from the Winnie & Walter set called Sugar Rush. The colors I used were Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Cool Caribbean, Only Orange, and Marigold Morning. (All from Stampin’ Up!). The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

~I am happy to play with this fun card in these challenges~

Fairy Girl & Beach Boy

This morning I would like to share 2 more of the cards I made yesterday!!

~ Golden Fairy Girl card ~

SugarPea2adj

First thing I did for this card is die cut all my pieces – a circle from MFT,  small banners from Stampin’ Up! which I cut one end off of. I also trimmed a gold striped shiny scrap to 4 1/4″ by 2 1/2″. I took a side folding A2 card and placed it in the Polka Dots embossing folder from Stampin’ Up!.

I stamped my cute fairy girl from the Fairy Sweet set by Sugar Pea Designs with Versamark ink and embossed with gold powder. Colored her in using my “Ziggy“s and added Wink Of Stella clear pen to add sparkle!

I also made this card using an Adorable stamp set from SU! – Beach Babies (circa 1999)

~ Beach Boy Sunshine Card ~

sunshineboyadj

I loved how this card turned out – first thing I did was use an oval die cut from MFT to make my template to stamp and shade in. I penciled in a line where my boy and sandcastle would go, then I stamped them in Versafine ink and embossed them with clear powder. All my coloring was done with my “Ziggy“s and the shading was done using Bliss Blue ink and Creamy Caramel ink – both from SU! I used masking paper from Inkadinkado to cover up my images while I shaded. I used the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and replacement foams for the various colors.  I cut out the sun that I had stamped and colored and put it on with foam squares.  Sentiment came from a Sunny Studio Stamps set called Tropical Paradise – also stamped and embossed.  I die cut my whole panel using Stitched Rectangle die from Lawn Fawn – added it to a Brilliant Blue card base and I was done.

ALOHA

Got inky this afternoon – my hands are a mess!!

Used my “Ziggy“s and did some Inlaid die-cutting!

~ ALOHA  card ~

alohaadj

I used my prize that I won from Neat & Tangled back in May, the Journaling Alphas to cut out the word Aloha from my white panel and from some rainbow paper I inked up. I used my “Ziggy“s to color on an acrylic block and then applied it to watercolor paper.  The white panel was die cut using Lawn Fawn‘s Stitched Rectangles. For my flower I used the stamp set called Tropical Paradise from Sunny Studio Stamps. I stamped the images with Versamark ink and embossed them in white. Colored them in by picking up color from the acrylic block with a wet paintbrush. Then I added the ink splatters.

Monkey Business

Well, hello all you FABULOUS people!!

I have been gone for a few days – we had a Family Reunion, and between preparing for it, being at it, and resting up from it I have not been able to post anything!! But I made a card today, so here you go!!

~ Belated Birthday Wishes card ~

belatedmonkeyadj

Started with a Close to Cocoa (SU!) top folding card base, used Scalloped Rectangles die (Lawn Fawn) to cut a layer from Creamy Caramel card stock (SU!). With the Stitched Rectangle dies, also from Lawn Fawn I cut a piece of watercolor paper. I used the Diagonal Stripe stencil (Simon Says Stamp) to ink up this layer with Gumball Green inkpad and a stamping sponge. I stamped the monkey from Smoocheroos stamp set with Versafine black ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Colored him in with my “Ziggy“s and put him on with foam mounted tape. A piece of green twine  was added so it looked like the monkey was hanging from it. My sentiment was also stamped in black and embossed, it is from the Word Salad set from Paper Smooches!

Soak Up the Sun

I got up bright and early this morning – Up with the Sun and I hid out in my craft room for awhile making this card!!! SO much fun!!

~ Soak Up the Sun ~

flamingosadj

I dug into my Doodlebug stash and used two Designer papers from the Sunkissed collection. I layered them on my card. Cut a Stitched Rectangle (Lawn Fawn) from white card stock and then added a skinny layer to it of Tempting Turquoise card stock (SU!). Now I could create my scene, I sponged and dotted some sand using Creamy Caramel ink and a marker, then I used Bliss Blue to sponge my sky. I set this aside and started working on my images.

I stamped with Black Versafine ink onto watercolor paper the flamingos, flower, and leaf from the Sunny Studios stamp set called Tropical Paradise. Embossed each image using clear embossing powder. I used my “Ziggy“s to color and then a wet paintbrush to blend. Using the Tropical Paradise die set also from Sunny Studio I cut the images out using my Big shot! My beautiful friend Mendi Yoshikawa gave this stamp set with dies to me for my birthday!! Thank you so much, Mendi!!

Now I just assembled my scene and used foam squares to adhere the pieces. Then I stamped the Soak Up the Sun sentiment in Memento black ink!

Party Animal

Popping back in with another card I made during my time in my craft room.

~ Party Animal Card ~

partyanimaladj

For this card I used a light blue plaid paper scrap that I die cut with Lawn Fawn‘s Stitched Rectangles. I then stamped using a Kaleidacolor Rainbow pad – Pastel to stamp the stars onto the blue background. Stamped the balloon animal on card stock and then fussy cut around him. Die cut a vellum banner with an SU! die and added the message to it. I put adhesive on the back of the banner behind the sentiment. Added the animal with some foam squares – I trimmed them into smaller pieces to fit on my image. The stamp set I used is by Avery Elle and is called Party Animal.

~My card is off to PARTY in these challenges~
