This afternoon I was struggling to find PEACE – I searched my heart and decided to go and create something for this Inspirational Scripture from Word Art Wednesday! I found that PEACE can come to me when I create! When I am creating something BEAUTIFUL to show someone I care, I feel love for that person and I am blessed with a sense of PEACE in that moment!!

~ PEACE card ~

This card was made for the Mix It Up Challenge over at the CLASSroom by Ellen Hutson. For this challenge we are playing with Neat & Tangled and Ellen Hutson products together on one card.

I used Bohemian Garden from Ellen Hutson, and Bible Journaling from Neat & Tangled. I stamped my images and word using Versamark Ink and Gold embossing powder. I die cut my rectangle panel using a Lawn Fawn die. I edged the panel with gold glitter paper from American Crafts and also added a strip of lace!

I water colored over the images using Stampin’ Up Inks – Night Of Navy, Handsome Hunter, Bordering Blue and Regal Rose! I used the squooshing method to get ink on the lids of the ink pads and then I picked up the ink with a wet paintbrush! I also added Night of Navy ink splatters with my wet paintbrush.

Winnie & Walter Share the Love – Days 1 and 2

I mentioned that I made 5 more cards yesterday – well, right now I am going to show you two of them!

I will pop back in later with a second post showing the remaining three!

The cards I made are ALL for the Share The Love at Winnie & Walter featuring Essentials by Ellen!

~ Sparkly Floral Happy Birthday ~

My sparkly Happy Birthday card involved some Inlaid die cutting, embossing, and stenciling.

I started by stenciling my background using Night of Navy ink and the Falling Snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut using Happy Cutaway from Winnie & Walter – cutting one from my background and one from American Crafts gold glitter paper.  The flower was stamped in gold embossing powder and colored in with Calypso Coral  ink (SU!) and a wet paintbrush. The set used was Bohemian Garden from Essentials by Ellen. And the word birthday also embossed in gold is from the Sugar Rush set by W & W. The doodles around the edges were done using a Night of Navy marker (SU!). I added sequins and a coral colored pearl for the flowers’ center!

A Two Card post

This afternoon I found a little while to create 2 cards while my hubby and son were fixing dinner!!

Here is my first card:

I used Ellen Hutson stamp sets – Bohemian Garden and the sentiment came from Fancy Thanks!

I used a white card base and stamped the flowers and leaves in SU! inks – Pink Passion, Mint Melody, and Yoyo Yellow! The papers are scraps from my box and I fussy cut the two leaves and flower!!

I am linking up this card to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge A Trio of Colors

I used 3 colors – Pink Passion, Mint Melody, and Yoyo Yellow!

Now, for my second card I made this:

The colors did not photo very well but the colors I used are Calypso Coral, Mint Macaroon, and So Saffron!

I used an old SU! Background stamp – I  inked it up with So Saffron and then came in with the coral SU! marker and colored all the flowers – then stamped it!! The butterfly was stamped in coral and I added some yellow floss!! The papers are Mint and Coral!

I am linking this card up to these challenges:

Navy, Coral & White

While I was having fun in my craft room yesterday afternoon I played around some more with watercoloring and made this card:

I used an Ellen Hutson stamp set – Bohemian Garden I embossed it in gold and then put a mask over it and sponged a Night of Navy circle around the flower! To paint the flower, I used a Cameo Coral ink refill and a water brush! For the center of the flower I added some pearls from an old Doodlebug collection called Flower Box. A sentiment was added from a Stampin’ Up! set called  Whimsical Words! It says happiness Always!!

I want to link this card up to these 3 places:

Colour Me Card ChallengeCMCC # 82 – Colour Me…Creative

CMCC Full Graphics-005

I am playing along with ‘Team Hayley’ – I did not have Calypso Coral but I did have Cameo Coral (an older SU! color) so I used that – I hope that is acceptable!!

Top Tip Tuesday – Bingo Challenge

Bingo Board TTT

I went straight across the middle with Pearls, Sentiment and Flowers!

My Top Tip is to use the negative of diecuts and punches to create shading around your image!! Just make sure to mask your image within it to create the look I have on my card above!
