As promised – here are some more pics of my space:

closetsig

This is the view I have when I look straight ahead while in my chair!! The closet and my Doodlebug products peg board!

punches1sig

punches2sig

Above the closet runs these curtain rods where this style of punch has a home!!

ikeashelfsig

Next to the closet is where my 2 by 4 Ikea Expedit shelf is – home to lots of papers and my embellishment drawers. For more info on these color sorted drawers click here!

aboveikeashelfsig

The view above my Ikea Expedit – Yes, that is my Cricut hiding up there – No, I don’t use it much!!

The box with the polka dots is my scrap paper box where I have files of colored pattern paper!

clipitupsig

This is a pic of my Clip It Up system that holds all my abc stickers, jewels and such – This sits of top of my 4 drawer filing cabinet that houses paper and such by color and by theme!!! I could not get a clear pic of it because of its shape and size and nearness to the window!!

sewingdesksig

Here under the window is where my sewing table sits and no, there is not room for my sewing machine there just now – but I use that surface for other miscellaneous things! And under it is a 12 by 12 drawer system that houses all my beloved Doodlebug papers!!

cornershelfsig

In the corner these 3 shelves house miscellaneous items – mostly they are for looks but there is some storage going on!! My cute, yellow clock lets me know how long I have been crafting and when it is time to get dinner going!!

inkstoragesig

On the wall, next to the corner shelves is this shelf – favorite thing in the room – LOVE it!! IN the middle is where all my SU! inks reside and as you can see there is no more room for new ink so that causes a small problem!!

viewfromclosetsig

I stood in that closet area and took a pic of what is behind me when I sit in my chair!! 2 full cupboards – where most of my wood mounted sets go! With a shelf in between – also houses more stamp sets!

shelfsig

A close up view of that middle shelf – the plastic blue lidded containers house ribbon and more ribbons!!

So there, you go – I started just inside the door at the closet and worked my way counter clockwise around my room – I hope you enjoyed the tour and if you have any questions about things you see, let me know, I am happy to answer!!!

New Tag You’re…It! mini challenge

While cruising around the web I came across this fun new challenge blog  Tag You’re… It! and I thought of a very recently done project for my craft room and decided to give it a chance – It is a repurposed Pokemon card tin that now holds a mini pair of scissors and is full of Doodlebug Design’s packaged ribbons.  I covered it with Doodlebug papers and using some mini tags spelled out the word ribbons on the front of it!  Here is how it turned out:

A tin that was repurposed to be used as a holder for my Doodlebug Design brand ribbon packages!

This is the project that I am linking up to Tag You’re…It’s mini challenge!!

I was super pleased when I figured out that a Pokemon card tin (which there are oodles of around our house)  fit perfectly into one of the cubbies of this shelf!  Perfect fit!

This is the 4 cubby shelf that I put 2 of my repurposed tins in to hold favorite products!

You will notice another tin that I repurposed as well – also using tags.  I love repurposing things and making something useful and beautiful out of them.  If you ask me I think it adds a certain amount of beauty to my little shelf!

Thanks so much for popping in!! Please leave me a message cuz they really make me smile!!

I linked this idea up with Just a girl & her Blog – Hit me with your Best Shot! # 26

Finished Craft Room & a Giveaway to Celebrate

*** This Giveaway is now closed ***

I am so excited about finally getting my craft space in order.  We had chaos for 4 to 6 weeks as everything from the craft room was taken out, gone through and purged!! Unfortunately the living room suffered the most as all the stuff went there to wait until I figured out where I wanted everything to go back!! I took a class from Wendy Smedley and Aly Dosdall of Big Picture classes.  The class was called Organizing “Fun”damentals!! I have to admit that most of the process was fun!! I am so grateful to these two ladies and all the gals that supported each other in the gallery and on the message board.

So, are we ready to see the finished result?!?  This first pic is looking into my space from the small entryway.  My space is only about 6 ft by 11 ft!  I share half of a room with my daughter and we have put up two cupboards and a bookshelf to create a dividing wall from her space and mine!!

Here is where I create and make Beautiful Things to show others I care!!

Here is where I create and make Beautiful Things to show others I care!!

This second picture is looking opposite this wall and my desk/work space.  I was able to purchase a 4 by 2 Expedit unit and for Christmas I had requested the 12 by 12 paper storage containers (all from Cropper Hopper) so this area came together very nicely and I finally have order and organization to all my paper!!

My new Expedit shelves, file cabinet, and Clip-It-Up!!

My new Expedit shelves, file cabinet, and Clip-It-Up!!

My favorite thing in this area of my space is my Colored Embellishment drawers – you can see them in the 5th square there!! Here is an up close photo:

Here is where I keep all my buttons, brads, and other embellishments by color.

Here is what the drawers look like from the inside – picture 1

And Picture # 2 is here

Here is where I have put my green, blue, and purple embellishments!!

Here is where I have put my green, blue, and purple embellishments!!

This was so fun for me to organize! The two containers with scalloped circles are smaller bits.  The tiny one is glitter, and the bigger one is eyelets and etc that were just too small.  For each basket I weaved ribbon of that color into the slits in the baskets.  The baskets were all from the dollar store and that I had around.

I am really so very excited about this accomplishment.  Now I have a beautiful place to make beautiful things for others just to show them I care!!  And to celebrate that my Beautiful Space is done I am hosting a giveaway!!

I want to offer  a $20 gift certificate to a store of your choice to the winner!

The store choice must be within my ability to get a gift certificate to!! :)

I am trying to increase my readership so there are more than one ways you can win:

  •  the first way is to leave me a comment ( that’s one entry)
  •  the second way is to refer someone to visit my blog (when they visit and mention that you referred them that’s another entry for you and one entry for them)
  •  the third way is to pin one of these images on Pinterest and link the pin’s url in a comment saying you did ( that’s the final way you can enter)

I will leave this contest open until Friday, March 21rst at 5:00 pm (MST)  and then I will post the winner the next morning (Sat, March 22nd)!!

Thanks so much for visiting and Have an Amazing, Beautiful Day!!
