Felt It – “Bloom”ing Cute!

I played in my craft room this afternoon – I tried out the whole FELT thing.

You really can die cut it – it is amazing!!!

I made this card:

feltcardadj

To make this card I used My Favorite Things dies. I used the scallop frame from Blueprints # 1 and the flowers came from Blueprints # 5The smile came from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I used Doodlebug buttons from my stash and matching colors of embroidery floss to add them to the flowers! The smile is glued on but also stapled with a mini stapler!

I made this card just for these challenges:

12daysofdoodlebugsig

YIPPEE – it’s Day 12 – April 12th MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

And to celebrate I am giving prizes to YOU – see the end of the post!!!

I honestly did not think this would go by so fast!! But oh, what fun I have had!!!

It has been a real treat for me to share some of the ways I use Doodlebug Design products!!

~For today I would like you to comment on your favorite thing was from these 12 days ~

What I made today is a gift ensemble for a very special friend!!! I made it using the following products from the Sugar Shoppe collection:

doodlebug-sugar-shoppe-12x12-dainty-doilies sugarshoppesprinkles sugarshoppethisnthat doodlebug-sugar-shoppe-icon-stickers-3.gif sugarshoppefancyfrills minibubblegumdoiliescupcakedoilies

I made a gift bag, covered a Ghirardelli Chocolate bar and made a tag for the bag!!

Here is the ensemble:

Remember to click on the pictures for a larger view!!!
sugarshoppetriosig

I will start with the chocolate bar!  This is the bar I created a cover for –

ghcandybar

Look at how it turned out:

ghcandybarcoveredsig

I used a piece of pattern paper that was 7 1/4″ by 8 1/2″ – Wrapped it around the candy bar and used doublestick tape to secure it! I cut another piece and made the banner that you see behind the doilies!!

I used the doilies like this on purpose so you could see the mini ones in comparison with the regular size ones that Doodlebug does!! A Happy thing is that both sizes come in all the Doodlebug colors!!!

The sticker is from the This n That sheet and I used 2 colors of twine to tie around it!!! In the center of the flower is a Sprinkle!!

Now for the Gift Bag

ssbagwtagsig ssbagcloseupsig

I took a 7 1/4 by 7 1/4 square of pattern paper and added 1″ strips at the top and the bottom – I had the orange velvet scallop trim in my scrap ribbon bucket and it matched so perfectly. Mounted that to the bag with foam dots – then added stickers to the side and a doily from the Dollar store in the middle and a regular doily from Doodlebug in the middle of that!! Then I added some stickers!! Maybe you can play I SPY to figure out which stickers I used from which sticker sheets!!! =]

AND I created a matching tag:

sugarshoppetagsig

As you can see I used some more of the orange velvet scallop trim on the tag – used a sticker and a scrap of the paper made into a banner and stapled on!! I used Doodlebug Rub-ons for the words and put them right onto the sticker!!

I am really pretty excited about this ensemble and I cannot wait to give it to my dear friend!! We are meeting for lunch in a few days!!

Ok – Prizes I am offering:

Welcome to Day 11 of the 12 Days of Doodlebug

12daysofdoodlebugsig

I am so excited about this 12 day series that I am doing here on my blog – I LOVE DOODLEBUG and I have been a user and collector for the past 15 years!! Anything made by them delights and excites me – I love their bright, happy colors and incredibly cute icons and borders they make!! I thought doing this series would be a perfect way for me to lead up to and celebrate my birthday with you – There will be prizes – more on that at the end!!

For my project today I took some mini bags of Lindt chocolates that I found at Dollar Tree –

minichocolatebags

There are like 3 truffles inside the bag – light green one is from just the other day and the red one I found at Christmas time!!

I cut a banner for the front of each one – for the red I used Patriotic Parade paper ( an older Doodlebug collection but they have a new one called Patriotic Picnic available now!!)  For the green one I used Springtime collection from last year!!

I used a banner die from this set from SU!:

132173G

I used the third one in!! I also punched two times with this Bow punch from SU!

Bowpunch

Put the bows together using mini glue dots! And added a sticker and some twine –

decoratedchocolatebagssig

In both cases the opposite side of the pattern paper was a color with polka dots – so that is what I used for the bows. I used double stick tape to adhere the banner to the package!!!

Well, We are almost to the end – Tomorrow I will show you something made with the Sugar Shoppe collection – the collection that one of you can win!! Thanks for hanging out with me so much lately – I have truly enjoyed it!!!

Alrighty – I mentioned prizes – YEP I sure did!!!

Welcome to Day 9 of the 12 Days of Doodlebug

12daysofdoodlebugsig

I am so excited about this 12 day series that I am doing here on my blog – I LOVE DOODLEBUG and I have been a user and collector for the past 15 years!! One thing I love using Doodlebug products for is – “Cute”ing things up!!

For example this is a take out box from Applebees’

Abeesfoodcontainer

I thought it could make a perfect box for a bunch of cookies that I wanted to give as a thank you to someone!!

So I used a piece of newsprint to try and make a pattern to cover the area with the logo!!

patternforfcrop

Here is my pattern – It fit perfectly on a 6 by 6″ piece of paper from the paper pad in the Lovebugs collection!

lovebugs6by6

I cut my pattern out and then took a strip of ladybug paper and a leftover strip of the paper I got my pattern from – I used the other side and created a banner piece! Layered them together as you can see in this photo:

cutefoodcontainersig

I added a cupcake colored Doodlebug Doily

cupcakedoilies

Then I used one of these adorable mini envelopes with a note and a heart from this set!!

dbminiletters

Added a couple of these heart sprinkles –

heartsprinkles

glued it on to my box and wrapped it in twine!!

twinefoodcontainersig

The lettering is from Doodlebug rub-ons for the two main words and I just wrote the words from the with a .03 black pen!!

What do you think – would you want some cookies delivered to you in a box “cute”d up like this?

I have several Doodlebug Pinterest Boards – you can check them out here – and YES, my boards are mostly in alphabetic order – so go down to the D section in my page of boards!!

For today I am going to share some Doodlebug Treat Pockets

dbtreatdiesig

This cute pocket/bag was made using this thinlets set from Stampin’ Up!

treatbagthinlets

All of those lovely pieces come in this set – amazing, huh?!!

I made 3 bags/pockets for this post and all of the papers sadly are from my stash and not available anywhere – that I could find when I searched.  But the closest thing I could come to (as a possible match) was the papers from the SUGAR SHOPPE collection that one of you will win some of!!!  Here are some pictures:

sugarshoppepapers

boutiquebrads

This collection is so cute and so very fun!! Yummy looking, too!!!

Here are two more bags/pockets I made –

dbtreatdie1sig

dbtreatdie2sig

In each case I cut 1  – 6 by 6″ square of cardstock for the big piece of the bag, and a 6″ by 3″ piece for the second part of the bag. Then I used the two biggest diecuts in the set to cut the parts out!!  I enjoyed learning how to make the bags by watching this video – on You Tube by Stampin’ Up!

For the bottom two bags – I cut about 1/2′ in to the bags sides so that I could fold down that front edge!! Gives it another fun look!! I used various pieces of the thinlets and a SU! banners set to cut out of scrap paper the pieces that I used to “cute” up my bags!!

For the top bag – I made it to hold a small birthday gift and wanted the card to be with it so I cut cards to match and using a tab punch I made this card that can slip inside too with your treat, gift or gift card!!

 notedbtreatdiesig

I added a brad and a Fancy Frill sticker to it to make it cute!! Now I can write  a note on this card and then slip it inside!!

Oh Boy, I feel like I have shown you SO MUCH today – I hope you enjoyed it!!!

I hope you are seeing what amazing things you can do with Doodlebug Products!!

I am going to keep things really simple today since it is Easter weekend!

Today I made a page topper for a scrapbook page – I scrapbook in 8 1/2 by 11 so this will be a perfect top to my Easter scrapbook page!!

As always, please click on the picture to get a bigger, better view of this!!!

happyeasterbannersig

I am linking this cuteness up over at The Friday Mashup! – FM203 “Easter Critters”

I made this using the Super Cute and Fun Easter Parade collection from Doodlebug!!

EasterParadeHeader

The link I provided you shows all the fun things this collection comes with!! Hope you will check it out – This collection is available right now! It comes all in one Essentials kit (see pic below)!

I used two colors of Doodlebug cardstock and layered one of the rectangles for this sheet:

Easerparadepaper

I used the stickers from this icon sheet – they are the same size as the ones in the rectangle – so I mounted them with double stick mounting squares and popped them up!

I enjoyed making this and look forward to using it on a future scrapbook page – I think it looks cute here and could go on a mantel as decor also!!! Just sayin’!! =]

I am so excited about this 12 day series that I am doing here on my blog – I LOVE DOODLEBUG and I have been a user and collector for the past 15 years!! Today I want to show you my finished Seasonally decorated table in my living room! But in order to do that I must show you the other project I finished for today!!

At an Expo in Salt Lake,  a couple of years ago,  my friend bought me this white holiday tree made by Doodlebug Design

whitedoodlebugtree

It is a pre-assembled wire based tree measuring 25-1/2 by 15 in with a sturdy wood base.  Here is a link to one on Amazon – Doodlebug Plain & Simple Holiday Tree

I wanted to decorate it for the Springtime so I took this flower kit from Doodlebug Design that is part of the Hello, Sunshine collection

doodlebugspringflowers

I took the sheets from the package and removed all the die cut flowers and circles – I then layered them together – some with other flowers or some with button centers or I also used some of the before mentioned Flower sprinkles to spruce these up!

flowers2sig

flowers1sig

This is what I ended up with –

flowersallsig

15 flowers that I had added yellow twine hangers to, making them into ornaments!

I then took some light orange ribbon and used it like a garland on the tree and then added the flower ornaments to my tree!!

I guess I should tell you that back in January I used a string of lights and wired them to the branches of my tree – so it does light up!!

Here is my finished tree:

closeupoftreesig

You will notice that I put something on the front square of the sturdy wood base!! What I did was this –

treebottomsig

Using the large scalloped circle sticker from the This & That Sticker sheet – I made this square to put on the front of the tree base!! I layered the sticker on the same blue cardstock and yellow patterned paper that I used on the banner and the clipboard!! And I used the before mentioned scallop border punch to enhance the yellow layer!!

This is just taped to the base in the corners so it can come off easily when I transition my tree in the Summer months!!!

And NOW for the BIG REVEAL –

My Springtime Table:

Please remember to click on the pictures to make them bigger and see them better!!!

I hope you like my little corner of Springtime that I have created with my favorite Doodlebug products!!!

DAY 2 – Altered Clipboard Decoration

Please click on picture to have it made bigger – so you can see the details!!

dbclipboardsig

I used this adorable 5″ by 7″ clipboard from Pebbles, Inc:

pebblesincclipboard

that I decided to spruce up for a decoration!! I looked at this sheet of Doodlebug – Hello Sunshine! Designer Paper:

doodlebug-hello-sunshine-12x12-springtime

I knew that any of these 4 by 6 images would look cute on this clipboard. I chose the 2nd one down on the right side!! I cut it out and layered it on a piece of Blueberry Doodlebug cardstock that measured 4 1/2″ by 7 1/2″. I left it bigger on the top on purpose so that I could use this Scalloped edge punch from Stampin’ Up! to create the top border!

I adhered the 4 by 6 image I had chosen to the blue background. I added 2 stickers from the This n’ That sticker sheet to the bottom – one was the word beautiful and the second one was a tag that said sunshine!! I added a little piece of twine to the hole in the tag sticker!

Then I cut 7″ lengths of ribbons from my ribbon scrap jar in coordinating colors and tied them to the circle in the top metal part of the clipboard! I tied them with double knots and then trimmed them!! I had a small plastic easel and that is what my finished product rests on!! Sounds like a lot of work but it really was pretty easy – the hardest part was choosing an image!!
