Happy 200th CASology

The CASology challenge blog is celebrating their 200th challenge – HOW AWESOME IS THAT????

The Challenge for this time is CAS AND there is Blog Candy!!!

Week 200 - CAS

~My CAS card for this 200th challenge~

To make my CAS card I stamped flowers from the Persian Motifs set from Altenew. I stamped with Versamark Ink and used gold embossing powder. I colored in with my “Ziggy“s. I cut out the 2 smallest  Vertical Stitched strips from MFT – I pressed the larger one into the Versamark ink pad until it was completely inked up and then I poured embossing powder on it and embossed it. I used the smaller strip to cut from the flowers I had colored. Then I layered them together and placed them on this simple white card frontStamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the same set and embossed it too. Now my card is done!!

I hope it meets the CAS requirements – which are:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope all of you at CASology are celebrating BIG-time, this is a huge accomplishment!!

~I also want to link up to these challenges~

My I’ve Been CASEd by Kelly Latevola post is HERE!!!

I am literally sprinting in to share a graduation card I made:

It is a 6″ by 3″ card -designed for a #9 sized envelope (3  7/8″ by 8  7/8″)

To create this I used a scrap of graduation paper from Imaginesce – trimmed it to 5  3/4 by 2  3/4 inches.  Stamped the sentiment in Versafine – Onyx Black and used Clear ultra fine embossing powder. The sentiment comes from an old SU! set called Tassel Time!! I used a piece of gold vellum (from my stash) to make a banner and used a mini stapler to add it to my card!!

I am linking this card up to:

Week 150 - Graduation

The link up closes in about an hour – so that is the reason I am sprinting with this post!!

Have a happy day and be sure to see the post about where I was CASEd by the fabulous, talented and lovely Kelly Latevola!!!

See you soon!!!

I have been so diligently adding to my stash of birthday cards and here is one I made for a music lover!!

Products I used for this card were Doodlebug Sprinkles – Hearts and supplies that were in my 12 Kits of Occasion packet in February of this year! The sentiment is from a set called Sugar Rush from Winnie & Walter!

Happy BEAUTIFUL day to YOU!!!!

Happy Birthday – watercolored

While I was playing I created another background with the Blue Breeze Kaleidacolor pad using the technique talked about here – I used the piece  I created to die cut the word happy and make this card:

I love how the inkpad made a perfect ombre background for me!!

I used the Happy cutaway from Winnie & Walter and I used a small amount of adhesive to adhere the happy and then I added a couple of mini staples to it!! Using a speckle stamp for SU! I added some color around the word!! And the word ‘Birthday’ came from the Winnie & Walter set Sugar Rush. A fun, fast, easy card!!!

I am linking up this card to the following challenges:

Thanks for hopping by – hope your day is fabulous!!!

CAS*ology – Week 135: Mini

I am playing with a challenge over at the CAS*ology blog today!

It is Week # 135 – Mini

Week 135 - Mini

With that cue word I decided to make a card with a “mini” card on the front of it!

I used Nice & Easy notes – a long time favorite SU! set and some pretty white ribbon to create this card:

I used some pretty light purple cardstock  measuring 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 as my card base and my mini card measures 2 3/4 by 4 that became 2 3/4 by 2 when I folded that piece in half!!! Used SU! markers that matched the papers and colored the image a little bit. I think is soothing and soft!!!

I decided to also join the challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenges – where the challenge is #140 Use Ribbon &/or Lace – I think the use of that lovely white ribbon helps this card meet that one!!

So happy you stopped by to see my fun card!! Have a Happy, Beautiful Day!!

CAS*ology – Friend

Ok, ok – I know this is unheard of for me, 2 posts in the SAME DAY!!!!

But I needed to get this card posted so I could link it up over at CAS*ology tonight!! It has to be linked up by tomorrow at 10 am MST but I am not much of a morning person so I do not want to take the chance and miss it!!!

So you are in for a treat!! Here is the cue card for the challenge:

Week 130 - Friend

The link to the challenge is – CAS*ology Week 130: Friend

And now for my lovely pastel card!!

Oh, this card was fun – I used the Smorgasborders set from Stampin’ Up! and my brush markers to color on the stamps so I could fit the perfect number of flowers in my image!  Punched circles that have been folded in half over my image help to add interest!! Other pastel circles just help make it fun!!!  I am excited about this card and hope you like it too!!!

** Ok – you can go back to what you were doing, so sorry to interrupt, with this 2nd post of this awesome Sunday!!! **

So glad you got to take a peek at this lovely pastel card!!!

Have a Beautiful Night!! Sleep Tight!!!
