Party Animal

Popping back in with another card I made during my time in my craft room.

~ Party Animal Card ~

For this card I used a light blue plaid paper scrap that I die cut with Lawn Fawn‘s Stitched Rectangles. I then stamped using a Kaleidacolor Rainbow pad – Pastel to stamp the stars onto the blue background. Stamped the balloon animal on card stock and then fussy cut around him. Die cut a vellum banner with an SU! die and added the message to it. I put adhesive on the back of the banner behind the sentiment. Added the animal with some foam squares – I trimmed them into smaller pieces to fit on my image. The stamp set I used is by Avery Elle and is called Party Animal.

~My card is off to PARTY in these challenges~

I used this sketch for the design of the card – my balloon animal takes the place of the hexagon and I put my vellum banner on my card according to the sketch.

Color ThrowdownCountdown # 396

I love these colors – I wanted to use these colors and was overjoyed when I found all three of them on the Pastel Kaleidacolor rainbow ink pad! I also layered with a soft blue under my colors to match the photo.

E T A – I actually missed the deadline on this one!! Oops!

I used an Avery Elle set – Party Animal that they sell in their store!

I hope you are having a great day!! And that you will have lots to SMILE about!!

Thanks for coming by!!

Starry Smile

I’ve got stars in my eyes today because of the card I made today! I shaded and blended!

~Here is my card~

To start I made a stencil using a piece of chipboard that I used these dies on – the smallest two stars from Stars Framelit dies from Stampin’ Up!, and the two stars in the School Time Dies Set from Sunny Studio Stamps and the fifth star was a thank you on my latest order from Sunny Studio Stamps!

~This is what it looked like~

After the stars were on it I also die cut a Small Stitched rectangle from Lawn Fawn. I used the largest one from that set which measured 5 by 3.75 inches.  I also cut a panel from white card stock too! Then I cut the stars out from the white piece also.

Using my homemade star stencil I taped it down on a white card base. Then using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry (both from SU!) I sponged in the stars using a Sponge Dauber.

I then took the white stitched rectangle with the stars cut out and sponged  on it with two blues – Night of Navy and Taken with Teal (also from SU!). After sponging I put water droplets on my card and patted them off with a paper towel. Then using foam squares I put the rectangle over the card front where the stars were so they could be seen through the blue. I also added some Clear Glitter -Wink of Stella to my stars.

I needed a sentiment so I used my Smile die from Little Yellow Bicycle  -that I purchased at Hobby Lobby and cut it out of some dark blue vellum that I had in my paper file!

I put the word smile and the Pretty Pink Posh sequins on with micro glue dots.

~Ok – now that my card is done, it is going to play in these challenges~

I think my star cluster with the sentiment across it fits this sketch!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!

Here’s The Scoop

Hello, ALL you BEAUTIFUL people!! SO glad you are here!!

Monday brought me a little more creative time in my craft room!!

I made this card:

This card needed to be CAS so I started out with a blank white cardstock that I layered on Positively Pink cardstock (SU!). I took the Here’s The Scoop set from Lawn Fawn and stamped a trio of ice cream scoops on various Doodlebug Glitter papers in Lily White, Cupcake, and Tangerine. The shiny metal paper I used for the scoop was a scrap in my scrap box! Embossed using Onyx Black Versafine Ink and Clear Embossing powder on a vellum banner. It was stapled on using a mini stapler.

The inside of my card says – You are SO COOL!!

I am so excited to be linking this card up to these challenges:

I went with three scoops of ice cream for the triangles and put my sentiment across my cluster.

I added shimmer and shine by stamping each of my images using Black Staz On ink on shiny, glittery, sparkly paper and then cutting them out and adhering them to my card!

Embossed Happy Birthday

Well, folks, here I am! I am not sure I remember how to do this but I am going to post a card I made for a few challenges!!! Hang on tight, and let’s see if I can still do this!!

~~My Card~~

I made this card using an Swirls embossing folder by Darice  and I stamped images from the Altenew stamp set – Persian Motifs. I embossed them in gold and watercolored them with my “ziggy‘s”. I took a square of cardstock and pressed each of the edges on my Versamark ink pad and then added the embossing powder to it! I layered my watercolored image on this square that was now lined with a gold border. I tore the edge, applied some Versamark ink to that edge and embossed there as well!! I tied some gold cording around the card and knotted it!!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

I was playing around with watercolors and colored this cute pink cowboy boot!!

Then I saw the  CAS(E) This Sketch for this week and decided to use Sketch # 123 by Lesley Croghan as the design influence for my card!!

Using a Stampin’ Up! set called Yeehaw! I  made this card:

Stamped the boot and watercolored it using a water brush and my SU! re-inkers. Followed the sketch for my background, replacing the star with a boot – used misc pink scraps of pattern paper! Stamped Howdy in Versamark ink and embossed it in white!!

I happen to know the cutest pink cowboy boot wearing little lass that needs a note from me!! So this is for her!!
