Winnie & Walter Share the Love – Days 1 and 2

I mentioned that I made 5 more cards yesterday – well, right now I am going to show you two of them!

I will pop back in later with a second post showing the remaining three!

The cards I made are ALL for the Share The Love at Winnie & Walter featuring Essentials by Ellen!

~ Sparkly Floral Happy Birthday ~

My sparkly Happy Birthday card involved some Inlaid die cutting, embossing, and stenciling.

I started by stenciling my background using Night of Navy ink and the Falling Snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut using Happy Cutaway from Winnie & Walter – cutting one from my background and one from American Crafts gold glitter paper.  The flower was stamped in gold embossing powder and colored in with Calypso Coral  ink (SU!) and a wet paintbrush. The set used was Bohemian Garden from Essentials by Ellen. And the word birthday also embossed in gold is from the Sugar Rush set by W & W. The doodles around the edges were done using a Night of Navy marker (SU!). I added sequins and a coral colored pearl for the flowers’ center!

~I am HAPPY to link this card up to the following challenges~

I used Bohemian Garden from Essentials by Ellen AND I have used a W&W set/die cut (Sugar Rush & Happy Cutaway)

I have done the row right down the middle – Gold, Stencil, Doodle.

I embossed in gold, I used a stencil for my background, and I doodled faux stitching on my panel.

There is a bright colored flower on here and on my card.  I used the inlaid die cutting technique!

June - Take 5 Challenge List

For my 5 items I used the color white, doodling, die cut, ink, and a flower!

For my second card I made

~ Happy to have you as a Friend ~

For this pink and brown card I used the Happy Cutaway from Winnie & WalterSponged it with Pink Pirouette ink (SU!). Stamped the hearts in the same ink and then stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink (SU!).  The sentiment and the hearts are from an Essentials by Ellen stamp set called Fancy Thanks.  The side border is a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock embossed with a scalloped border.

What pretty cards!! I love the sparkle on the first card with the gold elements. I especially love the pretty sequins in the middle of that lovely pink flower. The second card is very regal with the pink and black color scheme. Really fabulous cards! So cool the you created FIVE cards yesterday. I sat in my room all day and only created 3!!
