Sailing in with Birthday Wishes

Sailing in  and Rounding out my inky trio with another card!

~From All of Us~

Oh, this card was fun – I got so inky!! My fingers are all blue. I cut out two ovals of the same size from MFT and then I tore one of them into wave like pieces – three of them. I sponged Brilliant Blue ink onto them and layered them on my second white oval and trimmed off any edges with my scissors. I sponged the cloudy background using some cloud die cuts as masks. The sailboat is from a forever ago Stampin’ Up set called Seasonal Solids. I used markers to color on the stamp and then I cut the boat out and put it in the waves with foam tape! The red card was embossed using a Tim Holtz embossing folder called Swirls. And the blue strip was form my scrap box. Simple message at the bottom – From all of us. Then inside it says – Happy Birthday!

I know, whenever I work with Distress Inks, I’m covered. That’s what fun though, right? This is a lovely summery card and the torn edges make great waves. Thanks so much for choosing to join us at Sketch Saturday using ADFD.
