Crayon Trio

After some laundry, chopping veggies and putting dinner in the Crock Pot I had time to create a card using a new technique to me!

This is the card I made:

I made this card using Lawn Fawn‘s Color My World stamp set and matching die!

Stamped the crayon with the  Versafine – Onyx Black  inkpad and used Clear ultra fine embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped with a VersaMark Ink Pad and embossed with White embossing powder!! I then colored over the letters in the word color with my colored pencils!

Colored the crayons in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and a Zig Detailer Watercolor brush!

The jar is from an SU! set called Perfectly Preserved! I stamped it on an acetate sheet with a Black StazOn ink pad – trimmed around the edges and put it over the crayons I had stamped!! I had never stamped on acetate before!!

I used 1/8″ Scor-Tape from Classy Cards ‘n Such to adhere my acetate to the watercolor cardstock!

I want to link this card up to the following challenges:

Lawnscaping Challenge – Challenge # 112 EMBOSSING

Retro Rubber Challenge #21 Back to School

The SU! Perfectly Preserved set is over a year old!

Awesome card, Taunya! I love those crayons. I also love the jar (especially since I just used up all my empty canning jars making grape jelly from the grapes that grow in our back yard). I’ve not hear of coloring on embossing with colored pencils. Will have to give that a try. Thanks for the inspiration.

How adorable!! I love how you put the crayons in that acetate jar. Totally great design trick!! I also like your use of colored pencil on the sentiment. Great job on the acetate. I haven’t done that in ages because I hate adhering it!! I don’t even think my Staz on is even still viable. I should check and try the acetate stamping just for you!! Wonderful card. Thanks for sharing!! Nora

So cute and adorable! The jar looks fabulous – I haven’t stamped on acetate in ages – I always had trouble with it slipping and blurring the image. Yours is perfect! Your sentiment looks awesome with the coloured letters! I haven’t tried colouring on embossing powder – thanks for the inspiration! Such a fun card!
