Welcome to Day 12 – The FINAL day of the 12 Days of Doodlebug

YIPPEE – it’s Day 12 – April 12th MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

And to celebrate I am giving prizes to YOU – see the end of the post!!!

I honestly did not think this would go by so fast!! But oh, what fun I have had!!!

It has been a real treat for me to share some of the ways I use Doodlebug Design products!!

~For today I would like you to comment on your favorite thing was from these 12 days ~

What I made today is a gift ensemble for a very special friend!!! I made it using the following products from the Sugar Shoppe collection:

doodlebug-sugar-shoppe-12x12-dainty-doilies sugarshoppesprinkles sugarshoppethisnthat doodlebug-sugar-shoppe-icon-stickers-3.gif sugarshoppefancyfrills minibubblegumdoiliescupcakedoilies

I made a gift bag, covered a Ghirardelli Chocolate bar and made a tag for the bag!!

Here is the ensemble:

Remember to click on the pictures for a larger view!!!

I will start with the chocolate bar!  This is the bar I created a cover for –

Look at how it turned out:

I used a piece of pattern paper that was 7 1/4″ by 8 1/2″ – Wrapped it around the candy bar and used doublestick tape to secure it! I cut another piece and made the banner that you see behind the doilies!!

I used the doilies like this on purpose so you could see the mini ones in comparison with the regular size ones that Doodlebug does!! A Happy thing is that both sizes come in all the Doodlebug colors!!!

The sticker is from the This n That sheet and I used 2 colors of twine to tie around it!!! In the center of the flower is a Sprinkle!!

Now for the Gift Bag

ssbagwtagsig ssbagcloseupsig

I took a 7 1/4 by 7 1/4 square of pattern paper and added 1″ strips at the top and the bottom – I had the orange velvet scallop trim in my scrap ribbon bucket and it matched so perfectly. Mounted that to the bag with foam dots – then added stickers to the side and a doily from the Dollar store in the middle and a regular doily from Doodlebug in the middle of that!! Then I added some stickers!! Maybe you can play I SPY to figure out which stickers I used from which sticker sheets!!! =]

AND I created a matching tag:

As you can see I used some more of the orange velvet scallop trim on the tag – used a sticker and a scrap of the paper made into a banner and stapled on!! I used Doodlebug Rub-ons for the words and put them right onto the sticker!!

I am really pretty excited about this ensemble and I cannot wait to give it to my dear friend!! We are meeting for lunch in a few days!!

Ok – Prizes I am offering:

A Corner Chomper

a $25 gift certificate to any store (on-line or walk-in)

Well first of all – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I hope it’s a good one for you, Taunya, and that you get spoiled – you deserve it! Wow, 3 great creations today! The bag and matching tag are gorgeous – love the Doodlebug products used! The yummy chocolate bar is completely disguised and would be an awesome surprise – I would be over the moon to open this up and find yummy chocolate! But I would almost hate to open it – would have to be very careful to save the outside goodies! As for my favourite project, it was Day 9 – your recycled cookie container! I am planning to use this idea at Christmas time and will be keeping my eye out for containers to save to recycle in this manner. Thank you for a wonderful 12-day showcase of Doodlebug – I really enjoyed myself! I only have one Doodlebug product – a 6×6 pad – now I have a new fondness for Doodlebug thanks to your showcase and I will be seeking out their products! Have a wonderful birthday!

All your projects were great but I have to say my favorite was yesterdays. I think the way you decorated the chocolate with the banner and stickers and enhanced the packaging was great! I have to admit though that I am liking the paper you are using today.

Very cute creations today. You’ve done an outstanding job of showcasing the fun and imaginative Doodlebug products. If you force me to pick (it’s hard!), I’d choose the cute gift pockets and matching cards from Day 7. I LOVE those little gift pockets and could see using them on the outside of a gift bag, on the outside or inside of a card, or maybe just by themselves. Thank you for giving us all a great intro to Doodlebug. It’s been so much fun to follow you these past 12 days! Hope your birthday is fabulous and the coming year even better.

I am catching up on all the blogs I have missed this month. My computer decided to die on Easter Sunday and I have had withdrawal from my favorite blogs.

First-Happy Birthday. Second, I LOVE that birthday ensemble you created. The bag is so pretty, with the doily and the fun sticker. I also LOVED the matching tag. The way you decorated the chocolate bar is too fabulous too. I need to do something like this for my co-workers.

Really great post. Thank you for the fun ideas!!
