Welcome to Day 9 of the 12 Days of Doodlebug

I am so excited about this 12 day series that I am doing here on my blog – I LOVE DOODLEBUG and I have been a user and collector for the past 15 years!! Anything made by them delights and excites me – I love their bright, happy colors and incredibly cute icons and borders they make!! I thought doing this series would be a perfect way for me to lead up to and celebrate my birthday with you – There will be prizes – more on that at the end!!

One thing I love using Doodlebug products for is – “Cute”ing things up!!

For example this is a take out box from Applebees’

I thought it could make a perfect box for a bunch of cookies that I wanted to give as a thank you to someone!!

So I used a piece of newsprint to try and make a pattern to cover the area with the logo!!

Here is my pattern – It fit perfectly on a 6 by 6″ piece of paper from the paper pad in the Lovebugs collection!

I cut my pattern out and then took a strip of ladybug paper and a leftover strip of the paper I got my pattern from – I used the other side and created a banner piece! Layered them together as you can see in this photo:

I added a cupcake colored Doodlebug Doily

Then I used one of these adorable mini envelopes with a note and a heart from this set!!

Added a couple of these heart sprinkles –

glued it on to my box and wrapped it in twine!!

The lettering is from Doodlebug rub-ons for the two main words and I just wrote the words from the with a .03 black pen!!

What do you think – would you want some cookies delivered to you in a box “cute”d up like this?

I have several Doodlebug Pinterest Boards – you can check them out here – and YES, my boards are mostly in alphabetic order – so go down to the D section in my page of boards!!

Alrighty – I mentioned prizes – YEP I sure did!!!

The Prizes I will be giving away are pictured here –

A Corner Chomper

a $25 gift certificate to any store (on-line or walk-in)

 This  Stampin’ Up! stamp set

An Avery Elle mini stamp with die

My Sweet, super amazing friend, Cynthea Sandoval, who is the creator of Doodlebug Designs sent me a prize of Doodlebug products to give to one of you lucky winners!!! So super excited and I appreciate her support so much!!!

It is $40 worth of items from this Birthday collection:

++++PLUS – I have found some duplicates of brand new Doodlebug Items in my stash that I am going to share – so there will be a couple more prizes to win!! Yippee for hoarding, right?!?!!!++++

Here’s how you can win: Visit my blog and comment on as many of my Doodlebug posts as you can/want!! 1 comment per person per post!  The more posts you comment on, the more chances you have to win!  I will use Random.org to determine the lucky winners!!

Winners will be announced by 12 noon MST on Monday, April 13th!!!

Do you want to go shopping ??? Duh, who wouldn’t???

In case you were wondering how to get your hands on some Doodlebug cuteness  – I wanted to mention that there are some on-line stores that I shop at to find Doodlebug Design items!

I shop at A Cherry on Top and Scrapbook.com and Paper Issues!

If you shop at A Cherry on Top and they asked who referred you – I would love it if you put my name down – you earn points for people referred to them!! I love this site because they get the NEW stuff FAST and then you can get it!!! **grin** So, I just ordered all the new Mini Doilies in all the Doodlebug colors!!! YEP – I am so excited!!  And Paper Issues carries a lot of the smaller items of Doodlebug – they don’t carry a lot of 12 by 12 stuff!! They do package things up pretty and are fun to shop with!!!   I also wanted to add that Archivers Annex has a lot of exclusive kits of Doodlebug products go here to see them – Happy shopping!!!!

Hope you have a bright, sunny and beautiful day!!!

OMGoodness, I think this is one of my favourite projects yet! I love how you recycled the container and added all those Doodlebug goodies! I need some of those tiny envelopes – so adorable! Love everything about this! I would imagine the recipient of this package was tickled pink – I know I would have been – and there were cookies too! I’m going to keep this project in the back of my mind – it would work well at Christmas too (with Christmas-y Doodlebug goodies!). Thanks for the awesome inspiration, Taunya!
