Welcome to Day 7 of the 12 Days of Doodlebug

12daysofdoodlebugsig

I am so excited about this 12 day series that I am doing here on my blog – I LOVE DOODLEBUG and I have been a user and collector for the past 15 years!! Anything made by them delights and excites me – I love their bright, happy colors and incredibly cute icons and borders they make!! I thought doing this series would be a perfect way for me to lead up to and celebrate my birthday with you – There will be prizes – more on that at the end!!

For today I am going to share some Doodlebug Treat Pockets

dbtreatdiesig

This cute pocket/bag was made using this thinlets set from Stampin’ Up!

treatbagthinlets

All of those lovely pieces come in this set – amazing, huh?!!

I made 3 bags/pockets for this post and all of the papers sadly are from my stash and not available anywhere – that I could find when I searched.  But the closest thing I could come to (as a possible match) was the papers from the SUGAR SHOPPE collection that one of you will win some of!!!  Here are some pictures:

This collection is so cute and so very fun!! Yummy looking, too!!!

Here are two more bags/pockets I made –

In each case I cut 1  – 6 by 6″ square of cardstock for the big piece of the bag, and a 6″ by 3″ piece for the second part of the bag. Then I used the two biggest diecuts in the set to cut the parts out!!  I enjoyed learning how to make the bags by watching this video – on You Tube by Stampin’ Up!

For the bottom two bags – I cut about 1/2′ in to the bags sides so that I could fold down that front edge!! Gives it another fun look!! I used various pieces of the thinlets and a SU! banners set to cut out of scrap paper the pieces that I used to “cute” up my bags!!

For the top bag – I made it to hold a small birthday gift and wanted the card to be with it so I cut cards to match and using a tab punch I made this card that can slip inside too with your treat, gift or gift card!!

I added a brad and a Fancy Frill sticker to it to make it cute!! Now I can write  a note on this card and then slip it inside!!

Oh Boy, I feel like I have shown you SO MUCH today – I hope you enjoyed it!!!

I hope you are seeing what amazing things you can do with Doodlebug Products!!

I have several Doodlebug Pinterest Boards – you can check them out here – and YES, my boards are mostly in alphabetic order – so go down to the D section in my page of boards!!

Alrighty – I mentioned prizes – YEP I sure did!!!

Do you want to go shopping ??? Duh, who wouldn’t???

In case you were wondering how to get your hands on some Doodlebug cuteness  – I wanted to mention that there are some on-line stores that I shop at to find Doodlebug Design items!

I shop at A Cherry on Top and Scrapbook.com and Paper Issues!

If you shop at A Cherry on Top and they asked who referred you – I would love it if you put my name down – you earn points for people referred to them!! I love this site because they get the NEW stuff FAST and then you can get it!!! **grin** So, I just ordered all the new Mini Doilies in all the Doodlebug colors!!! YEP – I am so excited!! I got 15% off my order – shipping too by using the code SPRING15 – that deal is good until TODAY April 7th!!!  And Paper Issues carries a lot of the smaller items of Doodlebug – they don’t carry a lot of 12 by 12 stuff!! They do package things up pretty and are fun to shop with!!!   I also wanted to add that Archivers Annex has a lot of exclusive kits of Doodlebug products go here to see them – Happy shopping!!!!

Hope you have a bright, sunny and beautiful day!!!
