Butterfly Hello

I made a card today for many challenges – This was fun for me because it all started with a sketch!!

This is my card:

I used some black pattern paper that was in my scrap box and the stamp set I used is called Gladsome Garden by Stampin’ Up! An oldie but the butterfly is my favorite!! I split the paper and mounted it with foam squares to my card front! Used rhinestones in various sizes and a small hello banner , also from SU!,  completes my card!

Terrific Tuesday — Post # 2

If you missed my first post for today it is here!!

Ok, now for the third and fourth cards I made today!!

The third one looks like this:

The way I made this card is I used the Lucky Stars embossing folder from SU! then I used Simon Says Stamps diecut set Frames  and cut it right out of the front of my previously embossed card!! I took the inside piece and watercolored the stars and the background with SU! inks Daffodil Delight and Bashful Blue. I took the thin frame part and sponged it with Buckaroo Blue and then I inlaid both pieces back into my card front! I used Buckaroo Blue ink on my watercolor brush and added splatters to the card! Stamped Happy Birthday and then I was finished!! Pleased with how this one turned out!!

And my fourth card – so CAS,  the hardest part was the paper piecing of the cupcake!

I used 2 sets for this card – the first Hero Arts Cupcake and for the sentiment Paper Smooches Word SaladI also used a speckle stamp from Hero Arts (had it for a long time) to add some colored speckles with a Kaleidacolor inkpad! The papers I used for piecing  together the cupcake are just from my box of scraps.

Here is a close up pic of the speckles:

Terrific Tuesday — Post # 1

I am getting so low on birthday cards – so I spent some time in my craft room this morning making some – I perused a few challenges and made 4 cards – 2 will be in this first post and 2 will be in a second post!! And, of course, I am down to the wire on them so I have to squash them all into 2 posts!!

My first card was made with a girl in mind – So fun!! I love watercoloring SO much!! Having so much fun with it!!

Here is my girl birthday card –

Used scraps of paper for the 2 yellow circles and Large PolkaDot embossing folder from SU! The stamp is from an oldie – Kids at Play by SU! The die is from Simon Says Stamps – it is called Frames!!

I am linking up to Simon Says StampWork It Wednesday March 2015

My second card of this post is for a guy’s birthday and I wanted to link it up to a challenge asking for stenciling so I got out my stencil from the Crafter’s Workshop – Mini Well Rounded stencil  I used Buckaroo Blue – A SU! ink color to do all my stenciling and sentiment stamping. The sentiments are from Paper Smooches – Word Salad stamp set!!

This is what it looks like:

It says Happy Birthday inside!! I am linking this card up to the following challenges:

Well, there you go – a His & Hers card post!! Hope you enjoyed my cards today!!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!

A “Rainbow” bag

Just dashing in to share the “Rainbow” bag I created!!

My friend’s adorable little girl is having a birthday and she loves the My Little Pony called Rainbow Dash. I wanted the gift bag to match her present so this is what I made:

I used the Rainbow Die from My Favorite Things and the cloud die from Paper Smooches!

Added a Sunshine using the Crayon Kids SU! stamp set!! And I have a Crayon alphabet set from them as well that I used to spell her name!!! I used a cloud stencil on the blue background but it was so subtle and I don;t think you can tell from the picture!!

I love making beautiful things for special people in my life – I hope she loves her present AND the bag!!!

Hope you find time to make something BEAUTIFUL today!!

Hugs to you all!!

Happy Birthday – watercolored

While I was playing I created another background with the Blue Breeze Kaleidacolor pad using the technique talked about here – I used the piece  I created to die cut the word happy and make this card:

I love how the inkpad made a perfect ombre background for me!!

I used the Happy cutaway from Winnie & Walter and I used a small amount of adhesive to adhere the happy and then I added a couple of mini staples to it!! Using a speckle stamp for SU! I added some color around the word!! And the word ‘Birthday’ came from the Winnie & Walter set Sugar Rush. A fun, fast, easy card!!!

Thinking of You – Watercolored

I played around in my craft room this afternoon – playing with some watercoloring ideas!!

I created this:

The first one I tried is using a Kaleidacolor inkpad  – for this I used Desert Heat – I took the inkpad and inked up an acrylic block with it, then spritzed it with water. I took the acrylic block and applied the spritzed ink directly to watercolor paper. I did this with the Fresh Greens Kaleidacolor pad as well!!

The second thing I tried was using the spritzed ink on the block to ink up a stamp – it made a cool look on the rose I stamped from the Avery Elle Petals & Stems stamp set!! I also stamped the leaves on the Fresh Greens pad and made the leaves!

I used the Avery Elle Petals & Stems Elle-ments dies to cut out the rose and the leaves that I had stamped!!

Used a Signo white gel pen that I ordered from Stampin’ Up to trace the details of the rose!!

I used a Avery Elle Die to cut out the pinked rectangle and then I used Cameo Coral and Green Galore SU! cardstocks to add layers – and the floss I used for the accent and bow was from my stash, not sure of the color!!

The sentiment was stamped in a banner that was also from the Avery Elle die I mentioned above! I used a Versamark inkpad and white embossing powder on vellum with a sentiment from the AE Petals & Stems set!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
