And here is the card I created for it:

Hope you like it – I am linking it up to Paper Smooches SPARKS – January 25-31 Designer Drafts Challenge!

See you soon, I hope!!!

Pushing the PAUSE button

Late Thursday afternoon I was having some seriously painful chest pains and my left arm was going numb – after about one hour of this we went to the Emergency Room – where I was immediately tested with an ECG and found my heart to be FINE,

BUT upon furthur testing found that I have Costocondritis – a painful inflammation in the cartlidge  between my left ribcage and sternum.

I am doing ok, just down for a few days with pain meds and anti-inflammatory meds until it is better!! Doing some hot/cold compresses on it and resting. My family is taking really good care of me and I should be fine SOON!!

But I hope you can see the need for my PUSHING THE PAUSE BUTTON!!!

I am kind of disappointed because I was really on a roll but I will pick back up, crafting and blogging, just as soon as I can!! I will still be around commenting since I can do that while resting!! Thank you for understanding and I hope to be back here after a weekend of solid, good rest!!!

Thanks for your follower-ship and support!!!

When you join my Happy Mail group I try to send some kind of welcome treat – if you have not received yours yet – it is because of the previously mentioned struggles with migraines!! But I promise it is in my mind to send you a little “Happy Mail” very soon!! Keep your eyes open for it!!!

Here is what those little treat bags looked like all packaged up and ready to go –

Doodlebug Treat bags - one each of six styles placed in a cello bag. A couple chocolates fit in the top bag. Used a round doily to create a package to hold the bags. "Cute"d up the doily with a Fancy Frill and a mini bluebird doodlepop. Twine tied around it finishes it off!!

Garden Party by Pebbles, Inc. Take 1

I call this Take One because I am going to share 4 cards each in 3 posts over the next few days!!

These 12 cards came from a confined to bed day when I was feeling dizzy and had already fainted once!! This happens to me sometimes when a migraine gets way out of hand!! But that is not the point – these fun cards are!!!

Anyways – I had my daughter bring me scissors, adhesive, and this collection of papers, stickers, mini envelopes and cards, and chipboard – Well I guess I asked for a paper cutter, too!!!

Here are views of the parts of the collection I had:

Once I had all this stuff in front of me I went to town – it was easy with all the fabulous parts of this Garden Party, Pebbles, Inc. collection!!!  Visit that link to see close-ups of all the good stuff I was working with!

So here are 4 pics of cards I made:

Each one of these cards feature some kind of pocket with the note part of the card being inserted into the pocket!! I already sent one of these out – the Sorry for your loss card!! Sent to a dear friend who had lost her dad recently!!

I hope the pictures speak for themselves, I didn’t feel very wordy right now so no overlong descriptions!  If you have any questions about how I did something I will certainly answer – it’s not a secret!! 😉   For me it was a whirlwind afternoon of crafting fun!!

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope that you like what you see!!

Have a beautiful day!!!

You’re Brilliant!

Sneaking in again at the end of the day – but again this is TWO posts in the same day!!!

To see my other post for the day – click here!!

My card here was made for a challenge over at My Favorite Things!

I used the Watt’s up stamp set and the Lightbulb Die-namics from MFT!!

Here is the sketch I based my card on:

And here is how my card turned out:

This card is being linked up to the Wednesday Sketch Challenge – Sketch 212

Please know that I think all of you are BRILLIANT!!!

Thank you for your inspiration and friendship!!!

Leave me some love & Visit me again – 2 sure ways to put a Brilliant Smile on my face!!!

Bee Mine

Okey, Dokey!!! I am so excited about this card I made – I will be linking it up to several challenges!!

Part of the reason for my excitement is that I used Doodlebug Design background papers and twine on it!!

Always love it when I actually use my Doodlebug stash and not just collect it!!!! **grin**

I used a “brand new to me” wood mounted SU! stamp set that had not even been mounted yet!! The set is called Just B!!  I stamped the B onto the BubbleGum background paper with VersaMark ink and then embossed with clear powder – made it shiny (don’t think you can tell from the picture, though) and then I fussy cut it out!!

The background was created using a Tim Holtz embossing folder called Burlap!

Hopefully you will “B” impressed by my card:

The challenges that this card is being linked up to are:

Loves Rubberstamps Challenges – Challenge # 135: The Letter “B” – use as many “B” named items on your project as you can!! I have used a Burlap background, bubblegum background paper, the letter “B”, a twine bow and a bumblebee!!

Addicted to Stamps – a challenge blog where they are on Challenge #128: Holiday  And my card fits as it is a plea for someone to be my Valentine!!

A2Z Scrapbooking Supplies – where the January challenge is: NEW TO YOU!!! And the new to me item I have used is the stamp set – Just B by Stampin’ Up!! Had not even been mounted to the wood!! I had to do that before I could use it!!

Uniko Studios –  They are on Challenge # 17: Love and Friendship! My card is all about love and friendship – as in will you be my love or my friend (whichever applies to the receiver)!

TIME OUT Challenges – It is Challenge #23: Valentine’s Day with the Optional Twist of Hearts  It is a Valentine with little hearts and arrows on the B!!

Thanks for “B”ing here and for taking a look!! I appreciate you!!

Another Happy Mail drawing will happen on February 11th — and I would love to add some new people to that group!! Please check out what Happy Mail is by clicking on the tab above by the Home and About tabs!!

See you soon – Possibly this evening if I can get the card done that is forming in my head!!!

Love to you – Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

CAS*ology – Friend

Ok, ok – I know this is unheard of for me, 2 posts in the SAME DAY!!!!

But I needed to get this card posted so I could link it up over at CAS*ology tonight!! It has to be linked up by tomorrow at 10 am MST but I am not much of a morning person so I do not want to take the chance and miss it!!!

So you are in for a treat!! Here is the cue card for the challenge:

Week 130 - Friend

The link to the challenge is – CAS*ology Week 130: Friend

And now for my lovely pastel card!!

Oh, this card was fun – I used the Smorgasborders set from Stampin’ Up! and my brush markers to color on the stamps so I could fit the perfect number of flowers in my image!  Punched circles that have been folded in half over my image help to add interest!! Other pastel circles just help make it fun!!!  I am excited about this card and hope you like it too!!!

** Ok – you can go back to what you were doing, so sorry to interrupt, with this 2nd post of this awesome Sunday!!! **

So glad you got to take a peek at this lovely pastel card!!!

Have a Beautiful Night!! Sleep Tight!!!

Stamplorations Sketch Challenge # 26

So, it is Sunday afternoon and after spending some time in my craft room – I have a card to post about!!!

Even So-So cards need there time in the spotlight – so even though this did not turn out ANYWHERE near the image in my mind it was for a challenge so I am posting it!!!!

Here is my So-So card – (It really did look cool in my mind!!)

I was going off of this sketch from Stamplorations

Bi-Weekly Sketch Challenge #26

I have only one set from Stamplorations currently – The set I used is called Vignette: Retro Mod Shapes!!

I was seriously looking to use that one set to create a chevron look on my card!! I think it looks more like a feather or maybe a blob or maybe with a very big stretch for chevrons that match the sketch!!

The sentiment is from SU! I think – it was a garage sale purchase for the single stamp so not sure about its’ original home!!

So, sometimes things don’t work out but we have to keep going!! I am trying very hard not to categorize this card as a disappointment or an EPIC fail!! Just a learning experience, right?!?!??

Please visit again, I will be creating some more soon!!

In fact – I have a fun card made with some Doodlebug Products to share soon!!

I Don’t want my STREAK to end!!!

Popping in, with a smile on my face, when I think of YOU, stopping by to see that I have been doing such a great job of posting here on my blog – 14 days in a row!!!! I must say, I am kindof, sortof pleased with this!!! Not in a braggy way, but in an I Can’t BELIEVE I have done this way!!!

So a post would not be complete without a photo of something I have created, so here you go –

I know this would be more appropriate in the Fall, but I am in Utah – where some days you can experience more than one season in a day!!  Like today it was sunny and almost Spring-like and then all of the sudden it was bitter cold!!

Anyways, I digress – this card is among my favorites ever made, when I made this card I made like 12 of them to send out.  Took lots of work, but for some reason, I don’t seem to mind such repetitive stamping!! My wrist sure was tired when I was done, though!!

Awesome set used called Fall Fun from SU! and the speckle background stamp – also from SU! I think you might have seen me use that Thanks sentiment before – I love it and have used it on many cards!!

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend – regardless of what season you are in!!

I love having you stop by and it tickles me when you leave me a comment!! So please do!!
